single “Coming out of the Rain”, released on 31 July. David Sinclair has met bands from AC/DC to the Spice Girls and lived to tell the tale. The respected critic, raconteur, journalist, musician and gentleman about London, David Sinclair has also leapt over the guest list rope and invaded the stage with three fellow classic rock musicians to form David Sinclair Four. The result? An album dripping with swagger and embracing the capital’s culture to such a degree, it should be delivered via a Routemaster. Lorna has twice been nominated for Best Jazz Vocalist in the Scottish Jazz Awards and recently performed at the Queens Hall, Edinburgh. She has appeared at sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, where she returns this summer. Her guest role in the David Sinclair Four adds an exciting new string to her bow and lends a fresh dynamic to this roadhardened group who have worked with Paul Jones, Maxi Priest, Robin Trower and many others. www.davidsinclairfour.com www.lornareid.com

troubadour should and does. Rogers was raised, and is based in Vancouver, Canada, and though it’s a far cry from the back country roads of the southern US, he embodies the values and musicality of traditional folk, Americana and country, ala Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and George Jones, with a little Roger Miller and Tom Waits thrown in. That said, Ben is an individual as a performer, and possesses a careful balance of mystique, mischief and gentle kindness that emanates through all aspects of him. "The man’s dark charisma is something you need to experience live to fully appreciate," writes The Georgia Straight, who recently included him in their Best of Bands 2013. There’s a bright side to Ben as well; his sense of humor in writing and performance is as infectious as his songs. As American Roots UK writes: "He could turn out to be one of the best singer/songwriters of a generation." www.AlmostBluePromotions.com www.benrogersmusic.com
