As a composer Blanco has scored music for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, his own string quartet and most recently, Scottish horn quartet Brass Jaw, and his recordings have featured saxophonists Dave Liebman and Donny McCaslin, West African guitarist Lionel Loueke, Grammy award-winning singer Luciana Souza, and drummer Antonio Sanchez. His solo concerts are enthralling and rhapsodic displays of technical command and emotional communication,

singer/songwriters. For almost 2 decades, he has been dazzling audiences and reviewers alike with a mix of virtuosity, boyish charm, showmanship and sheer bravado. For the last 10 years Gavin Moore has taken his time in tending his own branch of a family tree that is among the most celebrated in Irish music. With De Barras folk club in Clonakilty as his base, he has perfected his craft on the Irish, UK, US, European, Australian and Scandinavian folk circuits. With his soulful emotive voice, Gavin’s songs owe far more to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and anomie of every day modern life than that of his uncles Christy Moore and Luka Bloom, yet all the while giving them respectful nods.
