Following the model of Pietà by Michelangelo, this organ work was created. The organ registration is intended as a guide. However, it is desirable if the piece begins with a profound 8’-based sound in the Mezzoforte or Mezzopiano. The use of Voix céleste at the beginning is optional. In bars 13 and 14 one can consult the stops one by one. If you pull all the specified stops directly on the 3rd quarter, it is advisable to first close the swell and gradually open to bar 15. In bars 21 and 22, the stops are gradually ejected. The piece can also be realized on two-manual organs. As with most of the composer’s works, the tempo rubato may also be used here.

Nach dem Vorbild der Pietà von Michelangelo ist dieses Orgelwerk entstanden. Die Orgelregistrierung ist als Leitfaden gedacht. Es ist allerdings wünschenswert, wenn das Stück mit einem profunden Klang auf 8’-Basis im Mezzoforte oder Mezzopiano beginnt. Der Gebrauch der Voix céleste zu Beginn ist optional. In Takt 13 und 14 kann man die Register nach und nach hinzuziehen. Zieht man alle angegebenen Register direkt auf der 3. Viertel, so ist es ratsam, den Schweller zunächst zu schließen und bis Takt 15 nach und nach zu öffnen. In Takt 21 und 22 werden die Register nach und nach abgestoßen. Das Stück lässt sich auch auf zweimanualigen Orgeln realisieren. Wie bei den meisten Werken des Komponisten darf auch hier das tempo rubato angewendet werden.
