EVEN WHEN HE IS SILENT
arr. wind band
instr.: Christian Aftreth Eriksen
Even when He is silent was originally written for both SATB and SSAA choir, and commissioned by The St Olaf Festival (Olavsfestdagene) in Trondheim, Norway, in 2011.
The text was written by an anonymous writer, a prisoner in Germany during World War 2 and was found written on a wall:
I believe in the sun even when it's not shining. I believe in love even when I feel it not I believe in God even when He is silent
The orginal versions for choir are available from Walton Music and Norsk Musikkforlag
