Valerio Virgillito born 31.10.84 in Catania. He has studied classical percussion at the Conservatory A. Corelli of Messina, Specialist Degree in Percussion teaching at I.M.V. Bellini di Catania and has given Master classes with i.e. Peter Sadlo, Bodgan Bacanu. He has collaborated with various Orchestras and has recorder three CDs.
Currently he is a Professor of Classic Percussion at the I.C. Don Milani Paternò.

Valerio Virgillito was born in Catania in October 31, 1984 and since childhood he showed a great interest in drums. At the age of 8 he began to study with Pucci Nicosia, following simultaneously the study of music theory and piano lessons. At the age of 12 he decided to add the study of classic percussion to that one in drums, so he started to attend the Conservatory A. Corelli of Messina where he graduated under the guidance of Prof. Mariagrazia Armaleo with highest honors; later he will achieve, at the I.M.V. Bellini in Catania and under the guidance of Giovanni Caruso, the Specialistic Degree (second level) in classic percussion and the Specialistic Degree in percussion teaching, both with honors. He has given master classes with internationally renowned artists such as Peter Sadlo (percussion) and Bogdan Bacanu (marimba) [courses taken at the International "Mozarteum" in Salzburg], Frederic Macarez (timpani), Mike Queen (percussion), Mike Manieri (vibraphone), Steve Martland (orchestral specialization), Glen Velez (frame drums), Ganesh Kumar (Kanjira), Luigi Morleo (marimba), Tullio De Piscopo (drums), Elliot Zigmund (drums), Walter Themes (orchestral specialization) Maurizio Belli (ethnic percussion), Saverio Tasca (percussion), etc. He has collaborated with various orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania, the Brass Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory A. Corelli of Messina, the Symphony Orchestra of Messina, the Orchestra Pop Players Ensemble , the Youth Orchestra of the 'IMV Bellini in Catania, West Chester University Orchestra, the Italian Brass Band, the Wind Orchestra dell'I.M.V. Bellini of Catania, Catania ERSU Orchestra, etc. He has recorded three CDs with the Wind Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory A. Corelli Messina two of which [Fantasy & Romantic Memories] were produced by the record company known Scomegna of Torino. In collaboration with the Percussió Mundi he opened the week of Mantova Music Festival '08 enjoying considerable success. On the occasion of the summer festival "Taormina Arte '07" held at the Teatro Antico in Taormina, he has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Mediterranean,
