THIRD PLACE WORK, PLACE AND RELAX
Urban design project was proposed as a TOD zones. -The transit-oriented development (TOD) approach, enables most citizens to live and work within walking distance of high-quality rapid transit. Urban spaces are designed to be vibrant, lively places which cater to the needs of people from all ages and income groups. -It is essentially any development, macro or micro, that is focused around a transit node, and facilitates complete ease of access to the transit facility, thereby inducing people to prefer to walk and use public transportation over personal modes of transport. -High density mixed land use development in the influence zone of transit stations, i.e. within the walking distance of (500-800 m) transit station or along the corridor in case the station spacing is about 1km. T = Transit frequency and usefulness O = Orienting infrastructure for making pedestrian connections between transit and development D = Development featuring a mix of uses and densities
This was a fourth year academic project in the group of seven.

HUMAN SCALE
On the human scale the smallest of things can make or break the habitability of an area. TOD being a walkable zone with high connectivity and less t streets play a major role for the safety of the community.

DESTINATION The majority encompassing area around TOD Karkardooma is residential in nature with minute amount of commercial centers and offices. We took a development approach of making a destination zone by taking advantage of Anand VIhar ISBT and railway station, which are magnets of people, thus creating a destination typology. Establishing our TOD zone as a prominent destination point by imbibing various aspects of architectural scale like public infrastructure and recreational
ARCHITECTURE Architecture that serves the community, like Community Halls, Convention Centre, Recreational Hubs, etc act as the core. Keeping the focus on the Third Place enriches life of people with architecture. Integrated with ISBT, railway station and hotel the community space acts as a cultural centre for the East
NATURAL CORRIDOR One of the major concerns of Delhi is to tackle the severe enviormental conditions such as pollution, water shortage and high temparature. To counter these issues strategies such as mycilium air purifying pavilions and street lights, permiable pavements and green pavements, terrace gardens. Incorparating these strategies into designing a natural corridor that acts as a major spine of site. AIR PURIFICATION IN NATURAL CORRIDOR

INTEGERATE 02 This project was proposed in Dwarka, Delhi due to increament in the population and lack of land parcels. The major landmarks around the site include Internation exhibition and convention cention which is right behind the site and the othe rmajor land mark is frieght complex which is located right across the site and on the southern boundary of the site is a flyover which connects to the Delhi’s third major ring road UER-II which invites the a massive population in this area. The husstle busstle of the area which creates noisy and busy environment was the main challenge of this site . We designed a luxury housing society consist of 1100 units on the concept of SAPERATION AND AMALGAMATION. -We tried to created small semi spaces from one big space for giving the ambience of enclosure. -By providing alterantive angled balconies on different floors to provide a sense of openess by double height balconies. -To have air circulation in the site and provide some semi private spaces for users a void is created for informal getherings.

LUXURIO 03 The site is located on Ambala-Chandigarh expressway opposite Shri Sukhmani petrol pump, Derabassi, Punjab. As Derabassi is a satellite city of Chandigarh and a municipal council in Mohali district in the state of Punjab, India. It is located within 20 km from Chandgarh, Mohali and Panchkula.Derabassi is most famous for its industrial belt and it is surrounded by the colleges and industrial area due to which the area of the site is busy with the travellors and students .We designed a mixed use building consist of a luxurious hotel of 550rooms and shopping mall with the concept of WEAVING-Women residing in the villages of Punjab, India have woven the khes as a part of the trousseau that they take to their future home. -With bold, harmonic and imaginative colour patterns. -Weaving is a form of art which has always interesting forms and shapes. -It also inspires new designs patterns which could be very interesting -It gives a sense of movement and circulation and attracts the people to explore the places.

A mixed-use building aims to combine more uses into one structure such as residential, hotel, retail, parking, transportation, cultural, and entertainment. Whatever the combination, it brings together several uses within either one building or a small area.
Two different building that is hotel and mall connected through a canopy, under which the user will experience an weave pattern and will sense as an one entity.
