The Ruling on Using Pills to Prevent Haidh During Hajj and Ramadhaan Question: There are some drugs that prevent the monthly period of ladies or delay it. Is it permissible to use such drugs during Hajj only, to avoid the period?

Answer: It is permissible for a lady to use such pills that prevent Haidh during Hajj to avoid the monthly period, but this should be after seeking medical advice concerning the safety of the health of the lady from a specialist. So also is the case with Ramadhaan if she wishes to fast along with the rest of the Muslims.
