Assist external consultants and Project developers to use NyhemByggsystem. Coordinate representation material such as interior renders and drawings according BASB system, Schemas, etc. Produce and coordinate representation material to build a Prototype in China.
Project description: The scope was to create a modular prefabricated system and develop an innovative technical solutions. I Joint the team in an early stage of the project, when NyhemBostad got founds from Boverket to develop the Idé-concept. (Swedish National Board of Housing) My role was to turn the Ideas into architectural and construction language. The main idea stands over this criterias: Flexibility, Transport, Cost, Energy efficiency and Industrial manufacturing. This project has the interesting value to produce experimental solutions based on test and result evaluations, the multidisciplinary team involved turned the design process into a new opportunity to explore non traditional solutions on the architectural field. The initial phase was to build a prototype on a factory in which was possible to test and evaluate the technical and spatial solutions. During 6 months the design team worked on complete and produce the documentation to manufacture 2 apartments and 1 staircase module. In total 7 modules. The Factory was based in Changzhou,China. Was a big challenge for them to meet Swedish standards, It became a learning process experience to cooperate with such a large factory specialized in industrial manufactured houses. Phase two, that actually happened in parallel, was to design the first housing project in Sweden. 23 Apartments for Gävle municipality. With a real project new questions emerged and also new solutions, so the system incorporated a new modular size to performance a bigger apartments. (see Gävle project pag 12) A third approach into Nyhem byggsystem is the parallel work developing housing typologies; The innovative solutions were integrated in different scales of design having the milimetrical control that supposed to use steel material, and standard shipping sizes, up to produce and evaluate the most efficient house typology for the targeted market: “Low cost and affordable housing”. So with that input was produced a house collection of different alternatives. The strategy was based on use a modular grid, that organize and simplify the design process jumping between: Module Apartment - House. (see Typology Collection pag 16)

The demand was to produce a proposal for existing master plan on the city of Gävle (north of sweden) Nyhem collaborate with the Stockholm based office of Architecture Jägnefält Milton on produce the commissioned project from one of the biggest Housing cooperatives in the country, HSB. The program is solved in two houses. Uses 2 apartment types from Nhem Byggsystem. And developed a Stairs and Elevator solution to be built on site. Services and common areas like Laundry, Storages, Technical rooms and entrances follows the design criteria using the same modular sizes than the apartments. This project collects a results from the prototype 1.0 and implement a new technical solutions for facade system, roof and foundation criterias. BIL

Project description: The commission was to produce an Ide project that reinforce the corporate image of the company and the possibility of becoming a symbol of social welfare from technological development to the region. Briefing memories: Scales of observation: visual targeting strategies . The intersection of two avenues emphasizes a perception point of view. The idea is to enhance observation scales: A first remote monitoring the entire volume is perceived as a big plane, second approach: fragmented pieces and highlight stick and at the end the immediate environment: visible changes of levels, textures and technological details. Composition as a Hub The orthogonal structure is restructured with diagonals that connects the main house with the structure of the entrance hall. The lineal given by the house has correlation with the structural axis previously explained plus the intention to cause the building of being invaded for the avenue traffic flow, brings the idea of use an analogy of a train crossing by. So the building is moving!. The fact of being placed parallel to Av “ quinto anillo “ involves shifting income to a lower-speed path and to be stronger in the corner. The work with emphasis on maintaining the single block, divide it into two wings, each in stripes as hierarchies. Each wing has the elements required to support security and emergency. The ground floor solve public program and entrances. The secondary sector has been assembled with the master volume optimizing the use of land and better functional relationships, this has been a great achievement in the project as its integrated and compact dimension. The parking area form a second block , has a platform containing a terrace garden that replaced the floor and integrated into the program, there is also the restaurant a privileged area where employees can access through the second level of the bridge thought as a plugin that has the possibility to integrate new projects

Project description: In 2007 under the direction of architect Waldo Alborta. I serve on the planning Office of Public Works of the city of Santa Cruz, Boliva. The Idea was to generate a database of projects for the city following pre established Detail Planned that defines the City necessities. so as a strategy of collaboration with the public institution system this department was created. All the projects developed were created in a record time, and some of them just reached an initial concept level. Project description: In 2009 COTAS Launched the competition. The design of the headquarters that were spread in different buildings in the city. The call included a proposal for urban and landscape design, for a 10 hectares land. 6 months later we developed the project and produced the documents to make an open tender for construction phase. Functional: The Layout proposed has a clean reading, the orientation ensures optimal sun exposure and lighting conditions, take advantage of the nice visual and enabling future growth in stages. Solves and control noise, and suits perfectly in the natural topography of the land. To facilitate the communication between departments and mobility of employees, areas that make up the various blocks of the project were grouped in one building that rests on a large body of water, protected by two galleries that allow light to pass into two transparent volumes separated by a large empty space. Four height levels generated by the “square of the communication”. This space acts as a place of chance encounters , including a lobby entrance, is the connection between the two volumes and is the starting point. The Workspace : Two minor halls are in front of work environments, generating a gradual transition between inside and outside, two panoramic elevators and stairs connect the lobbies of each level.

Project description: Space criteria The limits definition appears between natural ecosystems areas representing, there will be no physical boundaries is therefore to be formed into small compact masses forests. There will be a perimeter fence to condition the public access to the park for a single main entrance. This enclosure must be lightweight so as to allow a visual connection with the interior of the park. the existing species of special interest will be used as key references in the spatial organization of the park. Formal criteria: Organic plot. The resulting scheme on the analogy of ecosystems represented physically on the ground creates an organic pattern that directs natural course. Rational frame on the other hand axes on which the architectural program for the buildings are structured, propose a structure based on linear axes of organization. The proposed merger between the two manages to generate a fluid, variable and alternative route . Techn criteria Ensure staged construction In some cases, due to the physical characteristics of each ecoregion is required to alter the natural conditions that comprise the field today. For which it is contemplated to use the material excavating gaps for generate the proposed scenario.

Project description:
In 2007 the city government launched a competition for redesign the city stadium: Ramón Tahuichi Aguilera. The main requirement was to implement a covering, and make a proposal for resolve several urban gaps. The revitalization project includes outside areas of the stadium, achieving a comprehensive solution for the project: redesign public bathrooms, principal entrances, ticket booths, dressing rooms, stages, the placement of seats, big screen. according to the FIFA rules.

Project description: This is a Self initiative project during the Specialization Program in Interior Design 2011 IED Barcelona. The challenge was to merge commercial activities with art exhibition. Under this premise was proposed to have a free path, where visitors can stop and observe each item without obeying a strict order, start the visit by the principal access, from the main street La Rambla, or through the secondary street, they can choose to start the suggested path: 1.FOLDED ROOM , 2. LIVING CUBE and 3. FOLDED ROOM. FOLDS AS STATEMENT PANEL To support artist concepts all the display panels are folded and have different sizes.

Project Description: The Arredondo house is located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in the eastern region of Bolivia, characterized by the tropical weather, strong winds and high sun light. Beeing part of FDC&R Team, I was in charge of this project. The residence responds to the owner’s brief for a family house where they could engage relatives and friends. Materials and formal choices were informed by a desire to root the structure into the site. Indoor and outdoor living is orchestrated by balancing views with privacy, communal space with intimacy.

Project description: In a corner plot with a rectangular shape, faced to a pedestrian passage the program is solved in that way to incorporate and take advantage of the green area, to enhance the way of that. Title: Life in The Public Space Through The Mat-Building Maria Victoria Devia Nuño Official Master Degree: Theory and Practice of Architecture Department of Architectural Design Line of research: Architecture in Mass Society Tutors: Eduard Bru, Aquiles Gonzalez and Xavier Llobet UPC-2013 Keywords: Mat Building, Public Space, Mobility, Human Scale. Abstract. Start with Public Space analysis through a single optic Is in a sense complex. The definition involves a number of facts that could address the study: from historical approaches, topographical, economic, social, artistic and environmental just to identify some. There are situations that, by definition, are applied to public spaces as universal codes of use. But what happens when we think these spaces through the way of how they are perceived during a journey? Probably individual experience will be influenced by others behavior, the people may sit on steps, lie on the floor and have a coffee... among many other activities. From this, I would like to think about mobility, starting with the reinterpretation of the concept definition of “Mat-Building” proposed by Alison Smithson (1974) in order to recognize action strategies in the relationship of the individual user, the architecture and place. It is also interesting to think about the reasons of how cities can be recognized through unique components, and how these elements can simultaneously determine the perception of each one. Through this thesis I intend to make the analysis of interventions in public space using the Scale as an tool to explore from the micro towards the macro, recognizing the continuous relationship between the building and the site, the site and the city: urban and human scale. finding the link established during the design process. The work is carried out by an exercise of sharing knowledge and analysis criteria. Dynamic contrast based on the proposed design of Raul Jimenez, a senior student of the School of Architecture ETSAB with the theoretical approach that is developed in the following pages. The thesis is divided into three parts, the first chapter sets APPROACH TOOLS previous definitions and criteria for analysis where we will define concepts to use and to understand how each action is applied on each public space. In the next section, Chapter 2, SCALES OF ACTION is a comparative analysis of the three proposals cities: Barcelona, Berlin and Cairo. The relationships with the concepts previously defined to allow assessment of the performances at different scales. And finally, in the last section CONCLUSIONS Chapter 3 presents a synthesis of research and work outcome. In Annex file, are the student project sheets and supporting data information concerning the three cities.
