YOU ARE HERE ON THIS EARTH FOR A REASON. WE’RE HERE TO HELP YOU SHINE.

EDUCATION SHOULD BE ENLIGHTENING. Become brilliant. At MVNU, we don’t believe that a Christian education is contrary to critical thinking. You’ll think deeply here about all matters, from science and technology to religion and philosophy. (And yes, your faith will be stronger for it.) Our liberal arts core courses include everything from literature and languages to science and history. Sooner or later, you’ll choose a major (or two) that will have a huge impact on your future. And be ready for professors who will inspire you to a higher level of thinking. They’ll teach you to find connections that help you see things in a whole new light.

A PLACE TO SHINE

Maybe we’re biased. But we think our location is close to perfect.

Start with our green, tree-filled campus on the Kokosing River. Add a close-knit, friendly college town, Mount Vernon. Then, see how close you are to the 15th largest city in the nation – Columbus is just a short drive away. Forbes named Columbus one of the Best Places for Business and Careers and it’s an ideal place to power up your résumé with an internship at a major company like JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide, L Brands, or OhioHealth. Pretty perfect, right?

MVNU students find that their faith is shaped and strengthened through local and global service opportunities.

OUR MOTTO TO SEEK TO LEARN IS TO SEEK TO SERVE

SERVE. LOVE. TAKE ACTION. BE THE LIGHT. SHINING FORTH means using your knowledge and gifts to serve the world.

Our community service groups are one way to use your energy to help others, in everything from youth outreach to global health. The opportunities are virtually endless. BE A BEACON. All students participate in chapel – gathering as a community

of faith is an essential element of campus life. Small groups are great ways to support your spiritual formation. More than half of MVNU students participate in small group ministries. You’ll have the chance to build relationships, share your journey with Christ, and support one another throughout your years here. Want to contribute further to campus spiritual life and grow in your faith? Campus ministry is for you. Plan chapel services, lead a small group, guide others as a Student Mentor, or join a prayer ministry.
