Test your endurance with the Army Hawaii 10-Mile Race around Wheeler. The event is free for Active Duty Soldiers and costs $8 for all other eligible runners. Anyone who wants an event T-shirt can purchase when registering for an additional $10. This race is open to Active Duty Soldiers, Retired Soldiers, National Guardsmen, Army Reservists and their adult Family Members (18 and older), other military members as well as DOD and AAFES Civilians working or living on an Army installation in Hawaii. This event is also a qualifier for Active Duty Soldiers interested in representing Team Army Hawaii in the Army Ten Miler taking place October 9, 2011 in Washington D.C. Think you’ve got what it takes to run with the big dogs? There’s only one way to find out!

Vehicle Drivers and all passengers 16 years of age and older are REQUIRED to show a valid State or Federal Government ID at the gates. All Coolers/Backpacks/Bags are subject to inspection while on Schofield Barracks. NO PETS ALLOWED.

All personal fireworks are prohibited (sparklers included). Open flame or charcoal cooking is not permitted. This does not apply to the reserved picnic areas. When entertainment begins, please lower umbrellas and canopies so others behind you can see the stage and enjoy the entertainment. Canopies are allowed on the field until 5 pm.

Cardio Kickboxing, Group Cycling, Yoga, Zumba, Boot Camp and many more classes are available Monday – Thursday at Schofield Barracks Health & Fitness Center. Can’t make it during the week? We offer some Saturday classes as well. These classes are FREE for all Active Duty Soldiers and their Family Members with an ID card. ARMY FAMILY COVENANT / BLUE STAR CARD

The Blue Star Card is an Family and MWR discount and activities program intended to enhance the well being of Spouses and Families of combat deployed Army Soldiers during the stressful time of deployment. THE BIG

Walk off the Wait (WOW) This activity is held every other month to give Blue Star Card holders the opportunity to see how beautiful the island is by going on various hikes around Oahu. Big R: Countdown to Redeployment This is a monthly event for Blue Star Card holders to count down the months until their Soldier returns. Each month there is a different activity such as Bowling, Zumba, Casino Night, Luau, etc. as well as free childcare and appetizers. Create-a-Card This activity is held four times per year at the SGT Yano Library. It gives the Families of deployed Soldiers the chance to make personalized greeting cards for their Soldiers. Theatre Night This event is held four times per year at the Army Community Theatre, Richardson Theatre, Fort Shafter. Blue Star Card holders can enjoy transportation, preshow appetizers, and a viewing of a performance of the current production at the theatre, all for free!

The HIRED! Weekly & Weekend Apprenticeship Program offers valuable paid work experience at the end of the 12 week program and training to better equip each participant with the skills needed for a highly-competitive job market.
