Walk off the Wait (WOW) This activity is held every other month to give Blue Star Card holders the opportunity to see how beautiful the island is by going on various hikes around Oahu. Big R: Countdown to Redeployment This is a monthly event for Blue Star Card holders to count down the months until their Soldier returns. Broadway’s “Seussical” everything you like about Dr Seuss stories. An exciting performance of fun, fast and lively music, with dances and scenes performed by your favorite Seuss characters. Held at the Wheeler Middle School, Auditorium located upstairs, free admission on a first come, first served basis.
F.I.T.T. Kids. “Start Healthy – Stay Healthy” classes for 6-8 yrs & 9-12 yrs. A compressive fitness program. Sessions cover heath, fitness, and nutrition. Classes meet at the Schofield Bks, School Age Center soccer field, located directly behind the SKIES building. Fee is $37.50 per month for 4 – 1 hour sessions. Bring a towel and a container of water and wear appropriate footwear and clothing for working out/ moving around. 13

Program is a 12 week program that provides 15-18 year-old Teens currently attending High School with meaningful work experience and career-exploration opportunities in Army Hawaii Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. The Libraries, Pools, Bowling Centers, Physical Fitness Centers, Food and Beverage Operations, Youth Sports, School Age Centers, Arts and Crafts Centers and many more open their facilities.

The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program offers work experience and training to better equip each Teen with the skills needed for the job market. Completion of The Hired! 12 week Program also awards a Stipend Check for the Apprentice.
