Similar to American Idol and other televised competitions, participants are judged by a panel of judges and by an audience of peers. Singers will compete each week for the chance to win the local first prize - $500. The winner of the local Army Hawaii Competition moves on to the Army-wide competition for the chance to win the “Ultimate Recording Music Experience”- Record, Mix, and Master a demo with studio professionals. October 15th PUNT, PASS, & KICK @ Watts Field & AMR Field Partnering with the National Football League’s “Play 60” campaign to integrate a new footballcentered program, to promote healthy and resilient lifestyles for Soldiers, Families and their children, Punt, Pass, & Kick (PPK) competition will be held at USAG Hawaii. PPK is for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 years. PPK will assist Army coaches and teachers in developing the fundamentals of punting, passing and kicking a football while enhancing skills associated with working as a team. Boys and girls compete in five separate age divisions with the goal of achieving their best and longest punt, pass and place-kick. The divisions include ages 6 - 7, 8 - 9, 10 - 11, 12 - 13 & 14 -15. Division winners of the USAG Hawaii competition qualify for Sectional and Regional PPK competitions and the top 4 winners in each age group will receive the opportunity to participate in a PPK exhibition before an NFL game.
