MWR WHAT’S UP? | May 2018

Greetings NSA Bahrain!

Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) provides a professionally managed lodging program for military and civilian travelers. NGIS Bahrain is in the process of completing a six month long “whole room concept” renovation project. All rooms, the lobby and common spaces have received a fresh look with new furnishings and carpet throughout. The two-man room barracks styles have been replaced with private suites. The private bedroom/shared bathrooms still exist and have an upgraded lock system, allowing for private bedroom access as well as a shared bathroom, common kitchen area and a storage area. The suites and executive suites have been refreshed as well. There is also a room available for those travelling with a pet and a handicap accessible room. We believe you will love the new look! This NGIS recently achieved accreditation status, certified by the Navy Lodging Program. Staying at NGIS saves money on official travel with more than 24,000 guest beds at military installations worldwide. There are many benefits to staying at NGIS including, convenience, great accommodations and hospitality services with affordable rates. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Non duty reservations can be made 30 days in advance for up to seven days and must be guaranteed with credit card. Reservations at NGIS Bahrain can be made by calling 439-2100 from an on base line or commercially at 1785-2100. If you are travelling to another part of the world, use 1-877-NAVY-BED.
