2012 CMRC Nationals: Round #4 Edmonton Race Report Teagan Williams #136

RC National Motocross After Team missing qualifying in the heat, Teagan headed to the MX2 LCQ.

Unfortunately, the 15 year old rookie just missed the cut, and spent Sunday on the sidelines. “I know Teagan was fairly upset with himself….but I’ve seen many of my top athletes come back stronger than ever from these situations. I believe Teagan is one of those athletes.” says team manager Todd Schumlick.

Danny Mathe #571 th

Qualifying 28 in MX2, Danny was looking forward to finishing out the western rounds with a rd strong performance. For moto 1, the 16 year old rookie put his himself 23 after the first lap, and rode consistently to hold that position at the finish line. When the gate dropped in moto 2, Danny th st th was 20 place, and once again maintained consistent laps to a 21 place finish. Finishing 24 note – top rookie. overall on the day, Danny met his goals, including finishing the western rounds with earned st professional points. Currently 31 inMX1 points, Danny is already looking forward to making a note – most improved and #3sitting Canadian rider. return to the final national round in Walton, ON.

Trae Franklin #51 With a mechanical issue early in qualifying, Trae was fortunate to have a strong enough lap to nd qualify 22 . After replacing the motor with his 100% stock practice bike motor (great job Ryan and Pete!), Trae went to the gate knowing we would have to time the gate perfectly. th HOLESHOT! Spending a few laps mixing it up with the top 6, Trae settled in and finished 14 . In th th moto 2, Trae rounded the first lap in 19 , and began putting on a charge forward. With a 13 th th place finish, and a career best 12 overall, Trae finishes the western rounds sitting in 14 place in points. “With a couple mechanical issues in this series, I think Trae is having a strong start to the season. I anticipate we’ll see even better performances from him during the next 5 rounds of the series.” says Todd Schumlick.
