Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing Growing in 2012
2012 brings new people and a new outlook to the Canadian Nationals this season for the Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing team. Owners/Managers Jackie and Randy Maffenbeier are pleased to announce the continued support of MX1 rider #6 Shawn Maffenbeier and Women’s National #1 Denaye Giroux. “As the official Yamalube Factory Team, we are also pleased to announce that #46 MX1 rider Shawn Robinson will be joining us under the tent with help from MX 101 and the Robinson Brothers,” said Jackie Maffenbeier.
The 2012 season for the Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing Team is shaping up to be very exciting. With all the riders spending time in California this off season, training and preparing for the Canadian Nationals, expectations are rising. “Denaye is going to have to be on top of her game as she defends her #1 plate this year,” said Owner/Manager Randy Maffenbeier. “ The women are getting stronger each year and even with a modified series, the competition will be fierce.”

Even though Shawn Maffenbeier has been a Pro rider since he was 14, and he has gained a lot of experience in those 6 years, he is looking at improving his positioning this coming season. “ I’ve gotten bigger and stronger these last couple years,” said Maffenbeier. “and with the support that I’m getting from Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing, SSS Suspension and Performance Racing Canada, I believe I have the tools to get me on the box.”

“Shawn Robinson is really going to surprise a lot of people this year,” said Owner/Manager Jackie Maffenbeier. “We noticed his capability of great speed last season and with the training he’s been doing with Todd Schumlick at the PerformX camps in California, he will be a more fit and consistent rider with much better results.” The 2012 race season is going to be exciting as we all get to watch the Canadian Nationals unfold, but none of it would be possible without the continued support of our sponsors. “We would like to express our thanks to the sponsors who continue to be there year after year and welcome our new sponsors who we look forward to having a long and successful relationship with!” said Owners/Managers Randy and Jackie Maffenbeier.
