Prepare to watch Canterbury light up and sparkle at the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event:

Friday 15 November I 4-6pm* St Georges Street, Canterbury

*The lights will be turned on between 5.30pm and 5.50pm

Help the Lord Mayor and the cast of the Marlowe Theatre’s Panto: Mother Goose launch Christmas by counting down and lighting up the city. Expect live music, sing-along Christmas hits and entertainment as you wait for the magical moment the big red button is

pressed. The event will be hosted by KMFM’s breakfast team Gary and Laura. While you wait, why not visit the Christmas Market on St George’s Street - expect a food hall with delicious delicacies, local makers selling their wares plus some additional entertainment including a helter skelter and a giant snow globe! The Christmas market will stay open after the switchon, so you can enjoy mulled wine while perusing the handcrafted gifts on sale.
