Festive Ice Rink Comes to Canterbury!
After a long wait, 2019 will see the launch of Canterbury’s very own ice rink, a fantastic addition for the city at Christmas! Canterbury City Council has taken on the responsibility of bringing the ice-skating rink dream to fruition for 2019.
Launching on Friday 29th November, and running until Weds 1st Jan 2020, the rink will be situated in the Dane John Gardens and provide a pretty backdrop for the skate rink. The rink will have a clear roof to allow skating whatever the weather and even under the stars as the evening arrives. There’ll be music, festive food and drink outlets, and twinkling lights to ensure that the experience can last into the evenings.
Opening times vary but will be from 10am to 9pm on weekends and during the school holidays. It can cater for up to 140 skaters at a time.
Skating sessions start on the hour and you get to have 45 minutes on the ice. Children must be aged 4+ to skate. Up to 20% off for groups of 10 or more on selected sessions.
Tickets are on sale NOW at canterburyonice.co.uk and space is subject to availability.
