MCGUIRE ELECTED AS DISTRICT 3 TRUSTEE
Meet your newest Central Rural Electric Cooperative trustee, Melanie McGuire.
Central district three members elected McGuire to serve as trustee beginning in October. McGuire will succeed Carol Dvorak who has served as the district trustee since 2012.
McGuire owns a consulting firm and has experience working for the Toro Company and in banking. She is an active member of the Perry community, serving in various leadership roles in the Perry Rotary Club, Perry Main Street and United Fund of Perry. McGuire holds a business degree in marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma.
McGuire and her husband Matt have three children.
The drive-thru district three election was held August 22 at the Noble County Fairgrounds parking lot in Perry. Jim A. Freudenberger and Joe Ogle also filed for the district three trustee position. Nearly 10% of the district’s membership participated in the election; 5% participation was needed to meet quorum.

CO-OP MONTH
EST. 1938 OCTOBER IS
This October, Central is celebrating National Co-op Month along with cooperatives across the nation! Co-op Month is an opportunity to raise awareness of how co-ops differ from other business structures.
What is the co-op difference and how do cooperatives differ from any other utility company? Similar to other companies, utilities can be privately or publicly owned and managed. Your electricity comes from a cooperative, owned by YOU
Each member has an equal vote in board elections and bylaw amendments, and can receive capital credits. This allows cooperatives to prioritize members over profits. Learn more by scanning the QR code or visit mycentral.coop.
