We have collected the highlights and remember all of the difference-makers in our community in 2018.
JANUARY Normandy bounces back (photo above)
Normandy Schools Collaborative (NSC) is now provisionally accredited, effective Jan. 2, 2018.
This provision acknowledges that NSC has met certain criteria – scoring in the provisionally accredited range for the past two years. In January, the collaborative was doing the work to start incorporating transition students back into its schools after the 20172018 school year. “Our mission statement says, ‘Changing lives today.’ We’re providing services. We’re working to provide opportunities for internships, and each year – better and better programming. And in doing all that, we believe that we’re providing a solid education for the future of our children. So, that is what’s driving us. That’s what is going to continue to drive us,” Superintendent Charles Pearson said.
