By Charlotte Beard The Ferguson Farmers Market, founded in 2002, is known for being a Saturday morning tradition in Ferguson. Though its outdoor presence only lasts from May until October every year, it continues as an indoor winter market November through April of the following year one Saturday out of the month, 9 a.m. until 12 noon. “The winter market is the third Saturday of every month,” shared Mary Haux, manager of the Ferguson Farmers Market. “The winter market takes place at St. Stephens Episcopal Church (at 33N) Clay Avenue. They grow every-

Howie Farms – some of their produce comes from a few different farmers but it’s all local and not far from Ferguson.” According to Haux some of the participating vendors are routine vendors such as EarthDance and Howie Farms. All vendors pay a fee to be hosted at the market, but they keep their own profits. The market is known for hosting an array of gift and specialty vendors. Currently the market See ‘FRESH’ page 2
