Looking for the lost According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), Missouri law requires that any law enforcement agency receiving a report of a missing child or adult must immediately enter the name of the person into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and into the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) with all available identifying features and information.

However, local law enforcement struggles with the manpower to conduct searches to meet the needs of all missing individuals.

In some cases, outside agencies have gotten involved in search and rescue missions as was the case with the young Berkeley woman, Monica Sykes, who went missing in October 2016.

Texas EquuSearch volunteers, a national and global search and rescue team, are stated to have been at the forefront of that search, though the outcome was not favorable. However, the case did result in many people in the community unifying in a quest to help Regina Sykes, Monica’s mother, find answers. One of the ongoing missions that surfaced is the St. Louis Search and Rescue Team. Lakresha “Lala” Moore of North County started the mission because she desired to do more to help further the efforts of the Berkeley Police Department.

Husband and wife, Lorenzo and Ingrid Murphy, are no strangers to having a loved one missing. Their daughter was at one time a victim of abduction and was later found. The Murphys partner with Moore in the local search and rescue team.

That doesn’t sound high at all, but it’s high enough. We’re no. 20 in terms of being a hub for human trafficking. As of Feb. 15, in St. Louis City there were 172 individuals missing. Out of those 172, 135 are adults and 37 are juveniles. Out of those 172 [missing adults] only 26 have posters or photos in the [MSHP and NICI] database.

In the St. Louis Municipalities we have 249 individuals missing – 115 are adults; only 29 have photos attached. One hundred thirty-four are juveniles with only two photos available.”

Ingrid, who shared that she has a license in social work with background study in psychology, emphasized that there is strong support for missing individuals on social media. One is Unity Alert on Facebook administered by Shawn Williams.

“I get messages from Unity Alert every day with the names of children and adults gone missing.”

Ingrid shared that Williams gets his information from MSHP and NCIC. These postings make the missing persons information more visible due to the nature and traffic of social media. The Search and Rescue Team also hosts its own page on Facebook--www.facebook.com/pg/ BringThemHomeStl. Ingrid states that with the help of others in the community and leads from the team’s investigations on Facebook, they have found three out of five missing persons, though the result has not always been favorable for loved ones.

The problem with that is these kids don’t know these streets will devour them. I spend a lot of time with Lala and Lorenzo not just on the streets but on the computer.”

A video on YouTube called “New Facebook Challenge Causes Kids to Disappear” created by InformOverload, ex-

plains that the challenge originated in the UK. There is a point system whereby kids are awarded for time they go missing and the amount of frightened media posts made by their parents.

Ingrid shared some of the dilemma in a missing person’s case involving a child who is a repeat runaway. She has begun to look more into the home life of these individuals.

“When there is clearly an issue at home, [returning the child home] is not the solution,” she said.

COMMUNITY VOICES The opioid crisis and you

By Angela Clabon The current opioid epidemic has been called the worst drug crisis in American history. For many Americans, this epidemic just began about two years ago; but in the neighborhoods Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers (MHDCHC) service, drug abuse is old news. Of course, the drug of choice tends to recycle over time. These days heroin has re-emerged as the drug of choice particularly with the younger generation. There’s also a new element, prescription drugs.

I was recently talking to some young people and was shocked by what they told me. People are taking Adderall to get high, which is used for children suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. In a world where “lean,” Percocet’s and Molly can be heard rhythmically intertwined in songs by popular rappers, parents and healthcare workers have their work cut for them. According to statistics, death rates now rival those of AIDS during the 1990s and overdoses from heroin and other opioids are responsible for the deaths of 27,000 people a year. This is scary. We have got to do more to help our people, particularly our young people. Is the public aware of how serious this issue is?

MHDCHC has a bustling behavioral health department and substance abuse program. According to the Director of Behavioral Health Regina Askew, her staff is bursting at the seams with requests to do assessments and screenings.

Askew said she could use additional staff to assist with the demand.

“We currently have one person who deals with substance abuse. I am bringing on another person who has extensive knowledge and experience with substance abuse. Unfortunately the demand

for these services is high. Our communities are hurting,” she said.

Askew said her staff has to address so many deficiencies for the individuals in addition to substance abuse. Social determinants such as housing lend itself to substance abuse.

“Our substance abuse program is open to those who need it and meet the requirements,” said Askew. “We’re strict and provide the structure necessary to be successful.”

There are currently about 50 people who have been served in the program.

“We’re seeing improved lives, gainful employment, relationship building and for the first time in years some sense of stability for participants,” Askew said.

“People have to realize this is a journey.

Our program is a five and a half years old. Participants who have completed the program are tracked for up to six months to a year.”

MHDCHC has two providers on staff to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and heroin abusers. Both providers are trained, licensed and certified with DEA_X to prescribe buprenorphine. This is a grant-funded program that allows patients who successfully complete the MAT regimen to be referred to Preferred Family Healthcare for continuing services and a vivitrol prescription.

“We are now working to provide continuity of care by having vivitrol available at MHDCHC,” said Askew. “Continuity of care is important because the success rate for patient’s increases when they can remain with MHDCHC to learn how to make those effective, lifestyle behavioral changes.” Askew added.

MHDCHC will continue to find ways to expand services to help individuals in

the community. Uninsured individuals who are seeking information about the program will be referred to Medicaid or Gateway to Better Health. Outreach staff can assist with enrollment. To connect with substance abuse services it is best to call Askew. The MAT staff includes Licensed Clinical Workers and Community Health Workers who are also trauma informed and can help individuals connect to much needed social services along with coordinating integrated care.

Substance abuse affects individuals regardless of age, race, wealth or location. It will take all of us working together in our individual communities to make a positive impact in the fight against substance abuse.

Florissant mayor goes back to school On March 8, Florissant Mayor Thomas Schneider was invited to attend the Ferguson-Florissant School District new and cutting edge middle school the STEAM and Gifted Academy for a community discussion and guided tour by some of the students that are attending the new school.

Later that day Mayor Schneider was also invited to attend Leadership Day at McNair Elementary School in the Hazelwood School District to celebrate the hard work of their student leaders in the third year as a “Leader in Me” school, where they are learning about the seven habits of happy kids. Schneider had the opportunity to experience a leadership assembly, a student-led school tour, leadership board presentation and Q & A session on “Leader in Me.” Schneider stated how impressed he was with

the students at both schools including their academic maturity and eloquent poise.

“Their bright eyes and their enthusiast presentation left me with a complete feeling of confidence that these students are receiving a great education preparing them for a bright future. Kudos to the Ferguson- Florissant and Hazelwood School Districts,” he said.

Three vie for two open seats in April 3 FFSD Board of Education election Three candidates are vying for two, threeyear terms in the April 3 Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education election. The candidates are listed below in the order of which they filed and will appear on the ballot: Brian Scott Ebert, 56, has lived in the FergusonFlorissant School District for 29 years and has served on the district’s board of education since 2012. He and his wife Susan, have three children who attended Cross Keys Middle School and Combs Elementary School. Ebert is a member of the district’s Financial Strategic Task Force and several community/professional organizations.

He previously served on the Combs and Cross Keys PTOs; as a volunteer instructor for the Combs Distinguished Scholars Program; and helped in the development of the FFSD STEAM Academy. Ebert has also served on numerous board of education committees, including the health, technology, and fiscal committees; and served as a security advisor, treasurer for Prop I (2015), and a member of the FFSD Special Education Committee. He is presently a systems technician with AT&T. Ebert studied business at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, electrical theory and digital transmission at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley and took courses in fiber optics at the AT&T Learning Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Courtney Graves, 39, has lived in the Ferguson-Florissant School District for 28 years and was first elected to the board of education in 2015. She is a product of the district, having attended Walnut Grove Elementary School, Berkeley Middle School and graduated from Berkeley High School. Graves has two children –

Josiah and Jeremiah, who attend McCluer North High School. She is the current vice president of the FFSD Board of Education and a member of the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council; and has also served as a Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) delegate, assistant secretary of the FFSD Board of Education and member of the Halls Ferry Elementary School PTO. She is a member of community/professional organizations and received several awards, including the 2017 St. Louis American Salute to Young Leaders award.

Since 2016, Graves has served as the St. Martins Child Center Governance Chairman. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in professional counseling and a Doctor of Education degree in counseling psychology. She is a licensed counselor chief clinical officer at St. Vincent Home for Children.

Mildred Clines, 60, has been a resident of the Ferguson-Florissant School District for 30 years.

She is the mother of two sons, of whom both graduated from McCluer High School. She is a former president of the Bermuda Elementary School PTA; and a current member of the Ferguson Neighborhood Policing Steering Committee, the Ferguson Collaborative; and volunteers with Winter Outreach and Potbangerz, providing services to the unhoused community. Clines is a past member of the Ferguson Neighborhood Improvement Program and the Ferguson Civilian Review Board Task Force. She will celebrate 40 years of service with Ameren Missouri in 2018, where she is an electrical inspector and investigator. Clines attended Hickey Business College, St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley and Washington University.

Standard and Poor’s improves Normandy schools outlook to stable Standard & Poor’s Global has improved the outlook for the Normandy Schools Collaborative, based on the school district receiving its provisional accreditation.

According to Normandy’s Assistant Superintendent/CFO Randal Charles, S&P Global increased its outlook from “negative” to “stable.”

“This is primarily in response to Normandy earning its Provisional Accreditation and should have a positive influence on the marketing of our next series of bonds,” said Charles. S&P Global is an independent agency that assigns bond ratings to assist potential investors.

The collaborative is preparing to issue $10 million in bonds to begin construction on a new Early Learning Center, which will house a new early childhood and kindergarten center. The new school will be located in the heart of Normandy on Natural Bridge Road, adjacent to the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus.

The district is also building additions to its elementary schools to prepare for the re-configuration to a grades 1-8 model.

The bonds were approved by voters under Proposition N, a no-tax-rate increase proposal, in April 2017. The proposition will provide approximately $23 million for new construction and building additions.

From Ferguson-Florissant to Japan – and back Niaya Avia Harper Igarashi grew up in the Florissant area.

She attended Parker Road Elementary School and was accepted into the PROBE program for gifted students. Prior to Igarashi attending PROBE classes, her family moved out the district and eventually to Texas. Her studies eventually landed her at Xavier University in New Orleans where she graduated in three years. She went on to graduate school at Webster University, attending its campus in London.

Always one to enjoy traveling, Igarashi, who is fluent in four languages (English, Spanish, French and Japanese), set out as a world traveler after completing her graduate studies. Of the

many places she visited, Japan was always a country that piqued her interest. After discovering an internet deal on a flight to Japan, Igarashi bought a ticket and traveled to Japan (alone) for a week of exploration and discovery.

“I felt culture shock as soon as I arrived,” Igarashi told a group of fifth-graders at Walnut Grove Elementary School. “There are so many people, but diversity is lacking.”

Igarashi’s return to the Ferguson-Florissant School District was compliments of her aunt Wyntra Storms, who teaches the fifth-grade students that she met with. While visiting family in the area, Storms felt Igarashi’s “worldly” experience would enlighten and inspire her students and she extended an invitation for her to speak with them.

“I’ve lived in New York and London, both of which have big populations, but are culturally diverse,” Igarashi told the students. “There was a big difference in Japan, but I was intrigued by what I saw.”

Igarashi’s intrigue prompted her to return to Japan where she now lives. She taught English for two years and currently works with university students who are studying abroad, helping them to acclimate themselves to the Japanese culture.

Upon learning she had taught school, Storms’ fifth-graders questioned Igarashi about the Japanese educational system.

One of the major differences they found out was that not only are Japanese students responsible for going to class

and achieving academically, but they are also responsible for cleaning their schools (there are no janitors), and assisting with serving lunches. Igarashi asked the fifth-graders how they felt about this.

“It seems as if this would make you more respectful of the school and give you a sense of caring and pride knowing that it’s yours,” said one female student.

Most of the students agreed.

However, they were all glad they don’t have to do any cleaning at Walnut Grove or serve other students lunches.

Another cultural difference Igarashi shared with the students is the low crime rate in Japan, compared to that of the United States.

“There are a lot of morals and ethics being taught in Japan, and people just follow them,” she said. “If you commit a crime you bring major shame to your family and/or whatever group you’re associated with.”

So much so, that Igarashi told the students that if they were in Japan and committed some type of crime, their parents might have to publicly apologize for them. That statement generated a lot of surprise from the fifth graders.

Since living in Japan, Igarashi has met and married the love of her life (thus Igarashi) and they are expecting their first child.

For now, Japan is home to Igarashi. But, occasional visits with family and friends in the Ferguson-Florissant community are always something she looks forward to.

New Missouri report proves expanded school breakfast reduces childhood hunger According to the “Missouri School Breakfast Report” released by Empower Missouri and Operation Food Search, more than 247,000 lowincome children in Missouri participated in the national School Breakfast Program on an average school day in 2016–2017.

“School breakfast means less hunger, better health and improved educational outcomes for our children,” said Jeanette Mott Oxford, Executive Director of Empower Missouri. “The many schools in Missouri that offer breakfast at no charge to all students and serve breakfast after the bell are ensuring that children start the school day ready to learn. We strongly encourage other schools to follow their lead so that more children may benefit.”

The report finds that 59.4 percent of low-income children in Missouri ate school breakfast for every 100 that received free or reduced-price school lunch during the 2016–2017 school year. This is slightly above the national average of 56.7 percent of lowincome children eating school breakfast for every 100 who received school lunch, as determined by

the national anti-hunger group Food Research & Action Center (FRAC).

FRAC has set a goal of reaching 70 low-income children with school breakfast for every 100 receiving school lunch. Out of approximately 550 school districts in Missouri, 111 school districts achieved this goal. A full list of top-performing districts can be found in the report.

Missouri’s strong school breakfast participation can be attributed to two key strategies: community eligibility, which allows high-poverty schools to offer breakfast and lunch at no charge to all students, and breakfast after the bell models that move breakfast out of the cafeteria and after the first bell, such as breakfast in the classroom. Offering breakfast after the school day starts helps schools and students overcome common barriers such as late bus arrivals, tight household budgets, and the stigma associated with school breakfast as being only for low-income children. Used together, these two approaches can continue to move the needle on school breakfast participation throughout Missouri.

Over 300 women from around the area supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) annual Table for Four lunch on March 2 at the Chase Park Plaza.

During the event Danielle Kain, a member at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis Ferguson Club received the Joan Ellyn Silber Award for Volunteerism and Leadership and a $1,000 scholarship. Dr. Silber’s brother and sister-in-law established the award and endowment to celebrate her being one of the organization’s most dedicated board members and supporters.

Kain, 15 years old, has been a member for six years and notes the club has always provided her with several opportunities to get involved and stay connected to her community.

She won third place in the Youth of the Year competition last year, winning a $1,000 scholarship; participated in the Music Studio program where she writes and performs songs around the area (including her recent track, “Confidence”) and, has spoken at several events sharing how the Boys & Girls Clubs has impacted her life. She is a freshman at MICDS and plans to be an astrophysicist for NASA. The Table for Four attendees also enjoyed a panel discussion on “Phenomenal Women Changing the Narrative” featuring the BGCSTL 2018 Youth of the Year, Michaelmonique Mayo; Chris Miller, Partner at Husch Blackwell; Sandra Moore, Managing Director & Chief Impact Officer at Advantage Capital; and, Carol Weissman, Owner of Boardbuilders. Karen Drake, President of Drake Consulting & Coaching, LLC served as emcee.

In its history, St. Louis area women leaders, the Table for Four committee and sponsors have raised over $300,000 to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis mission and the young women aided by its programs. Proceeds from this event support activities and experiences designed to help girls develop healthy lifestyles, positive self-esteem and make good decisions.

Barbara Fraser, Education Liaison to the St. Louis County Executive, presented a proclamation to the Hazelwood East High School Girls’ Choir for being selected to perform at the National School Boards Association (NSBA) Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas on

April 8.

The Hazelwood East Choir was chosen from among other schools throughout the nation during a nomination selection process. They will perform during the general session at the NSBA Conference.

Vogt sixth graders receive Chromebooks donation

Thanks to a generous donation from the St. Louis Chapter of The Links, Inc., sixth graders at Vogt Elementary School now have access to their own individual Chromebook. The Links were able to purchase the Chromebooks, which cost close to $6,000 through a grant from Wells Fargo. A total of 25 Chromebooks were purchased, which allows each student and their teacher to have access to their own personal computer whenever needed.

“We are grateful for this donation and other services The Links have provided to our students,” said Dr. Leslie Washington, principal of Vogt.

The Chromebooks will be used to assist students in their daily lessons and help prepare them for the upcoming MAP test through one-to-one correspondence.

The Links have been working with Vogt students

for the last two years, tutoring and providing other academic assistance. Last year, they worked with a fourth-grade class and this year, they decided to work with the sixth-graders. Several members of The Links visit the school each week tutoring students in math, as part of their Khan Academy Mentoring Village.

“The sixth-grade class has made lots of gains in math, and I attribute a lot of the student growth in part through our partnership with The Links,” said Washington, who is also a member of The Links.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, nonprofit corporation that has been in existence since 1946. It is a professional women’s organization that thrives on giving back to the community through service.

MDC invites teachers to hands-on field workshop with experts in the St. Louis region Why should kids have all the fun at summer camp? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is offering teachers a summer camp experience of their own, along with a chance to get acquainted with MDC’s Discover Nature Schools (DNS) program.

MDC will offer Teachers Discover Nature: A Hands-On Workshop with the Experts July 9-13. During this summer day camp for teachers, participants will learn how biologists study fish, forests and wildlife. The workshop will immerse them in nature and real-life conservation with conservation educators and resource biologists at five sites in the St. Louis region.

Hands-on activities will include collecting and measuring fish, tracking wildlife, sampling and identifying insects, bird banding, assessing trees to improve forest health, and more. Teachers will also learn about outdoor skills such as archery, shooting sports, fishing and canoeing.

During the workshop, educators will get certified in one of MDC’s free DNS instructional units, which come with funding for classroom materials and field experiences. DNS is a win-win opportunity for both educators and students, providing high quality science units

designed to meet the needs of teachers while preparing Missouri’s students to become life-long conservationists through hands-on experiences in nature.

Participants will meet at various St. Louis-area locations, starting the first day with Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, located at 11715 Cragwold Road in Kirkwood. On the last day of the workshop, teachers will take an eye-opening canoe trip on the Meramec River.

The workshop is free; however, class size is limited to 25 and advanced registration is required

Mathews- Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club summer camp offers a diverse number of activities Each year, hundreds of youth in the Metro St. Louis area call Mathews-Dickey home during summer days. And this summer the club will welcome both a greater number of youth as well as a more diverse population thanks to the addition of DVN assistance and a camp just for teens.

Both camps include breakfast and lunch, are open to residents of the St. Louis Metropolitan area and will be held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in two consecutive four-week sessions: June 4 through July 27. The 2018 Summer Day Training Camp Session is offered to youth ages six to 12 and held at The Mathews- Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club at 4245 N. Kingshighway Blvd. in St. Louis, with optional field trips occurring at various sites.

Each child receives an hour of health education per week. Participants engage in a host of educational enrichment and other activities each day including two of nine electives – baseball, tennis, reading and composition, basketball, music theater, swimming, math and science, volleyball and field activities. Sessions are $200 each, but for clients participating in both sessions, the club offers a $50 discount making it $350 for the full 8-week camp.

Assistance is offered two ways to clients who

meet income requirements: 1.) DVN through the state of Missouri and 2) scholarships provided

by TIAA-Cref (limited number of scholarships available). The club also offers a camp tailored for enriching adolescents once they graduate out of the younger camp: College & Career Leadership Camp.

This camp is a combination of programs currently offered separately at MathewsDickey as well as new ones, all tailored for teen development. For ten weeks, the young adults aged 13 to 18 will engage in activities to improve skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, civic engagement, college preparedness and, of course, recreation.

Maximum enrollment for the camp is set at 40 teens and each participant will enjoy the College & Career Leadership Camp, limited scholarships available. Holiday Ham Sliders Recipe courtesy of Chef Linsey, ALDI Test Kitchen | Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 25 minutes | Servings: 6

Ingredients:

canola cooking spray 3 ounces cranberry white cheddar, shredded 3 ounces plain havarti cheese, shredded 12 ounces hawaiian sweet rolls 2 tablespoons spicy mustard 1/4 cup sliced red onion 12 ounces spiral sliced half ham 1/4 cup sliced green apple 4 tablespoons butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon ground sea salt 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes Directions: Heat oven to 350 F. Line 9-by-13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and coat with cooking spray.

In small bowl, combine cranberry white cheddar and havarti cheeses. Reserve.

Remove entire package of rolls and,

keeping rolls connected, slice in half horizontally.

Place bottom half of rolls in baking pan.

Spread with spicy mustard.

In small bowl, combine butter, garlic powder, salt and parsley flakes. Pour over sandwiches.

Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes.

Top with red onion, ham, apple, cheese mixture and bun tops.

“Love, Simon”

‘Love, Simon’ is sweet, contemporary love story

M O V I E

The late John Hughes was one of the most influential writers/directors of the 1980s. Much of his work, especially “Sixteen Candles” and “The Breakfast Club,” put the high school experience into sharp focus. Teenage awkwardness, young love and feeling like an outsider were common themes in Hughes’ body of work.

His characters navigated the choppy waters of adolescence and usually emerged changed for the better.

Greg Berlanti, who is an executive producer on many of the CW’s superhero shows, takes a page from Hughes’ playbook with “Love, Simon,” a sweet and well-intentioned story about finding oneself in a contemporary high school. The characters here navigate those same choppy teenage waters, but cellphones and social media make it all the more difficult.

Nick Robinson does a nice job in the title role of Simon Spier, a high school senior who has an idyllic family life, close friends and one small problem: no one knows he is gay. While reading an online message board, he comes across another student who also is gay and feels the pressure to keep it secret. Simon sends emails to his new friend, who goes by the name of “Blue.” Over time, he falls in love with the person on the other side of those messages.

Based on the novel “Simon vs. the Homo

story to a satisfying conclusion. He uses his cast very well, adding some humor in the person of Ms. Albright (Natasha Rothwell), the drama teacher overseeing a questionable high school production of “Cabaret.”

On the other hand, Tony Hale turns Mr. Worth, the vice-principal, into too much a caricature that detracts from the story.

Tough love The devil is crying uncle and wants his furnace turned back up. Oh my goodness has hell really frozen over?!

Yes, it most certainly has and Kim Jong Un has also cried uncle right alongside the dark lord of the underworld.

Can you believe it? That super-sized, potbellied dictator who wears a piece of roadkill atop his head has been served up a taste of his own medicine. He was initially invited to come to the bargaining table and partake.

Un didn’t hesitate for a minute, until he found out the table and partaking did not involve an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord.

New severe sanctions then had to be placed.

First line of attack, no more chocolate drizzle on his kimchi, but that barely created a ripple in his many chins.

As an act of vengeance, Un defiantly lobbed a missile over Japan, but thankfully, it missed.

Apparently, his missile experts loaded the thing with triple A batteries instead of double A’s. Understandable; a common mistake. It happens.

But instead of letting his specialists hit their foreheads and drive down to the corner hardware store to pick up the right set, they are now wearing those double A’s up each nostril while thinking about their blunder in one of Kim’s dungeons.

Finally, the U.S. had to show they meant business and came down even harder – like the hammer of Thor hard. Kim’s snackage of choice was abruptly taken away and that’s when things really started to happen. He began to show some

normalcy and remorse; he began to show signs of goodwill. And by darn, he even showed signs that he wanted to crawl out from beneath his hermit kingdom and be an adult and talk with the rest of the world.

The final restriction used may seem like cruel punishment, indeed, even bordering on inhumanity, but when a mad man is lobbing explosives willy-nilly on the planet then tough times call for tough actions. Yes, Mr. Un’s favorite snack food was taken away cold turkey!

And so Kim will have to survive without his Tide pods and for a time, peace has once again been restored.
