The Florissant Civic Center’s Upcoming Performances There is always something to do in North County. At the Florissant Civic Center, local, children’s, and national performance groups do their thing 46 weekends each year, says Gary Gaydos, manager of the Civic Center Theatre and advisory member for the Florissant Fine Arts Council. “We really are the cultural hub of North County, because if you can’t see it at the Rep, downtown, or on Grand, where are you going to go?” To Florissant! “We try to do a smattering of what we see as the best out there—like a smorgasbord,” Gary says. “You can subscribe to the Applause/Applause professional touring series, the St. Louis Family Theatre Series, and the community theatre groups the Alpha Players or the Hawthorne Players Series.” Or, of course, you can buy tickets for single shows. “We have the lowest prices in St. Louis for online ticketing fees: I’ve never seen anybody lower. We keep them that low because we’re taxsupported,” Gary explains. “If the public calls our box office at 314.921.5678, there are no service fees for credit card ticket purchases.” Below are several upcoming shows, but the best way to stay informed about the performances at the Civic Center Theatre is to call or email to get on the mailing list.
