“It’s like a cage fight on steroids mixed with Greek myth,” he said.

What Scott is referring to is the new NBC athletic competition show, “The Titan Games,” hosted – and conceived by the one and only Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The 31-year-old Scott is a contestant on the show. He grew up in St. Louis but had a long and fruitful athletic and academic career at Lindenwood University.

NBC is billing the new show as everyday people getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete in epic head-tohead challenges designed to test the mind, body and heart and Scott is certainly up to the task.

Scott was a stellar academic, earning multiple awards, and earned his undergrad degree and his masters in business administration at Lindenwood before heading to Baylor Law School. At Lindenwood, he walked on the men’s swimming and diving team and proceeded to not only earn a scholarship, but become a three-time All-American diver and is still a school record holder in numerous dives.

“Being at Lindenwood, I found out what I was capable

of,” Scott said. “Lindenwood propelled me. I knew I had the potential to do a lot of different things and do them well and my time there validated that thought. It gave me the confidence to press forward.”

Jon Lau is currently an assistant coach for the Lindenwood men’s swimming and diving team and was a teammate of Scotts for multiple seasons.

“Derik was a guy who pushed every aspect of life to the limit,” Lau said. “He was a tremendous athlete, not only in diving but in the weight room, in intramural basketball, even when the team would go and play ultimate Frisbee. He loved competition and he loved to compete in the classroom. He really wanted to succeed in that area and always wanted to achieve the highest possible outcome no matter what he was doing.”

Tom Lucido, of St. Charles, was also a teammate of Scott at the Lindenwood pool and the pair continued to be friends after school.

“I think the positivity that Derick offers is his biggest attribute,” Lucido said. “With him, there are never any barriers and there is never any negativity and that is probably why he has done so well at whatever he’s done.”

Scott, who just recently moved to California, is a renaissance man. He is a practicing attorney and a personal trainer. His whole life was spent in a gymnastics gym that his parents owned. He won his first national championship at age seven.

“The Titan Games” debuted last week and Scott sat back and watched. Though featured briefly in the intro, his competition debut has yet to air.

“The most comparable thing is having a big MMA fight but this was Hollywoodified, Rockified, and NBCified,” he said. “It is difficult to describe the scale of things. There are 300-foot flames that were alarming to the senses. It looks like superheroes competing against each other.”

Scott was trying out for season 10 of “American Ninja Warrior” when he found out about “The Titan Games.” He was still in the running for “American Ninja Warrior” but once he heard about the new show he switched gears. The field for the show started

out with tens of thousands of applicants and was then cut down to around 200 for an NFL-style combine. The results of which whittled the group down to 64 competitors from around the country. The show takes place at the Irwindale Speedway about 45 minutes east of Los Angeles – renamed “The Titan Arena” for the show.

The Scotts are an extremely close-knit family. Derik’s older brothers Shaun and Zeke are his biggest cheerleaders and Scott is dedicating his performance on the show to one of his brothers, Ian, who died in a car accident when Scott was 12. Scott called Ian his role model and that he wakes up every day thinking how he can make him proud.

“The Titan Games” air every Thursday at 7 p.m. on NBC.

Local Author Profile: Daniel Menten Brewster Daniel Menten Brewster was born in Kirkwood, Missouri in 1965 and has lived in New Orleans, Cleveland, and New York City. He currently has homes in O’Fallon and Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.

Daniel spent many years in the hospitality industry with his most enjoyable position being as Manager on Duty for Crowne Plaza at the United Nations hotel in New York City, located at forty-second and second on the East Side of Manhattan.

In 1996, Daniel self-published “Me and Mine” - a book of poetry - and performed at many open mics and readings around the New York City area, mostly in Brooklyn.

He has also written four children’s books, unpublished.

After leaving the hotel industry in 1999, Daniel moved back to St. Louis and launched an entertainment company, DiMBy Productions. Through DiMBy, based in Soulard, home of the second largest Mardi Gras in the nation,

he produced events and festivals for seven years throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

His latest book, “Ridesharing the Route” is a collection of the numerous stories, personalities and events that take place in the day to day adventures of a rideshare driver.

Join one driver, as he shares his varied, sometimes comical, yet always entertaining experiences throughout Route 66 and beyond. The total phase of this total lunar eclipse will be visible from North and South America, and western parts of Europe and Africa. Unlike a solar eclipse, the lunar eclipse can be viewed with the naked eye and no special equipment is needed. WSD receives clean ‘unmodified’ financial audit The Wentzville School District received a clean audit of its financial records, accounting practices and compliance with state and federal requirements during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2018. The audit, which was conducted by the Daniel Jones & Associates accounting firm and approved by the WSD Board of Education, reported no findings or questioned costs.

Jacob Myers, Senior Accountant with Daniel Jones & Associates, reported to the school board on Dec. 20, that members of his firm had spent several weeks reviewing extensive documentation from the WSD Finance & Facilities Department. The audit was all inclusive, reviewing everything from whether a purchase order originated following proper procedures, to how a purchase order becomes a check, reviewing bids and contracts, verifying attendance and payroll records, as well as confirming correct receipt of revenue at the local, county, state and federal level.

Blood moon viewing Jan. 20-21 at Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Viewing Area Bring the family out to Broemmelsiek Park this winter to witness one of the most exciting celestial events of the new year – a total lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon. This spectacular event in the night sky is a beautiful sight to see as the moon takes on a reddish, yellow or orange glow when the Earth comes between the sun and moon and covers the moon with its shadow.

The public is invited to join the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) during the viewing from 9:35 p.m. on Jan. 20, through 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 21, at the park’s Astronomy Viewing Area at 1615 Schwede Road near Wentzville.

The full eclipse begins at 10:41 p.m., and ends

Band instructor receives Outstanding Young Educator Award from the Missouri Music Educators Association Jacob England, band teacher at Wentzville Middle School and Holt High School, has been chosen as the recipient of the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) 2019 Outstanding Young Educator Award. Nominees for this prestigious award were solicited from across the state and voted on by MMEA officers. The award is presented annually to an outstanding young music educator who has shown extraordinary promise, diligence and success.

“We are so proud of Mr. England for receiving this honor.

He is an exceptional member of our team,” shared WMS Principal Dr. Kelly Mantz. “He is dedicated to his craft and to our students, who are both chal-

lenged and inspired by his love of music.”

England is a Holt High School graduate (Class of 2010) who earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Truman State University. This is his third year working as a band instructor in the WSD. He teaches at both Wentzville Middle School and Holt High School, directing the Holt Concert Band, Holt Jazz Band, Wentzville Middle Jazz Band and he assists with the Holt Marching Band.

“Jacob sets high standards for himself and his students,” said Holt Assistant Principal Dr. Amanda Shelmire. “He works long hours every day to ensure his students are well prepared for every concert and every competition.”

I stared at the grapefruit. Its fleshy-colored skin mocked me.

It seemed to say, “I am not a cookie! I will never satisfy your sugar craving.” So I chucked it in the trashcan. Never mind the fact that I paid $1.50 for it.

This is the moment where most diets perish. Our new approach to eating began so valiantly. We ate well for a few weeks but now our hummus has fungus and our kale is stale. We resolved to keep a positive attitude but our stomach didn’t get the memo. And besides, who cares if my beach body is more reminiscent of a porpoise than David Hasselhoff?

So we drive to Sam’s Club and buy a tub of cheese puffs and a case of Coke – our only refuge from insanity. Except once we have consumed to oblivion, we remember that food does not fix the problem.

We have confused our fundamental need for nourishment with entertainment. We have romanticized an activity that was never meant to excite our passions. And candidly, we are suffering tremendously for it.

When asked by her son, John Wesley, how she would judge the lawfulness or unlawfulness

of pleasure, Susanna responded by saying, “By this test you may detect evil no matter how subtly or how plausibly temptation may be presented to you.

Whatever weakens your reason, impairs the tenderness of your conscience, obscures your sight of God, takes from you your thirst for spiritual things or increases the authority of your body over your mind, then that thing to you is evil.”

But can one really make the argument for the act of overeating as evil? I mean, it’s not like overindulgence is actually hurting anyone, right? Sure, I’m tired a lot and don’t have the energy to play with my children, thereby robbing them of healthful memories and instilling in them the knowledge that greed is perfectly acceptable behavior. My failure to learn self-control is a disease. I was born this way. It matters not that my productivity at work dips because of what I ate for breakfast or lunch. My employer doesn’t notice so I’m not actually stealing from them.

I know my chronic inability to move has forced others to sacrifice and care for me but they are glad to do it so why does it matter?

Whenever we infringe upon the sacred right of another person, we commit an evil act, even if that person is ourselves.

The human body houses the soul and the soul is sacred. Some of us feel this tension. We existentially search for meaning and settle for a cupcake (or caffeine or meth or vodka) because it is easier. When did easier take the place of what is right? When did living to satisfy our cravings become our guiding principal?

We are more than what we consume. Sometimes doing what is right is immediately painful but provides enduring deliverance. We take bolt cutters to our chains when we acknowledge these things and then act.

Local DAR chapter logs over 9,000 hours of community service The Caroline Close Stuart Chapter, NSDAR completed 2018 with over 9,000 hours of community service in the state of Missouri.

Since the 1890 founding, DAR members have worked tirelessly to promote historic preservation, patriotism and educational ideals through a comprehensive committee structure in communities across this nation and in units overseas. Yet, the NSDAR is often looked upon as purely a lineal society. Too often its service organization mission often goes unappreciated by the general public and even by some members.

Through a new effort to “Service to America!”

DAR chapter members are logging the hours of their community service. Nationwide DAR chapters across the country hit the 2.7 million mark of logged service hours in 2018.

logged time as tutors in the schools and leading scout troops and other youth groups, volunteering in hospitals, free clinics and churches. They volunteer at Stand Downs for Veterans and hostesses at the USO, driving shut-ins to the store and doctors’ visits, making shrouds and holding bingo nights at the Missouri Veterans home. These are just a few of the many ways chapter members are making an impact in the community.

Marilyn Hartnett, Regent of the Chapter commented, “Logging our hours has shown us how much vibrancy and vitality there is in today’s DAR! It encourages community service by our members on all levels as a means of honoring our heritage. Our mission is to give back to our communities in thanks for the nation we love!”

WSD technology coach achieves international certification Michael McCann, Technology Coach for the Wentzville School District, has achieved the distinction of becoming an ISTE Certified Educator. This recognition from the International Society for Technology in Education is awarded to educators who have successfully demonstrated competency in the ISTE Standards for Educators and recognizes those who demonstrate the effective use of technology for learning in meaningful and transformative ways.

The certification was established earlier this year and McCann is one of only five educators in the state, and one of seven educators in the world to achieve this distinction.

“We are excited for Mr. McCann’s accomplishment on becoming an ISTE Certified Educator,” said WSD Director of Technology Greg Lawrence. “To earn this international certification and recognition demonstrates Mr. McCann’s focus on innovative instruction and technology in the classroom, which will ultimately benefit our teachers and our students.”

The internationally recognized ISTE Standards for Educators define the skills and

mindsets needed to transform teaching and learning practices with technology. To earn the distinction of ISTE Certified Educator, McCann completed extensive professional development around designing, facilitating and assessing learning using technology and passed a rigorous evaluation of his portfolio by ISTE Standards evaluators.

“Those who have earned the certification have proven themselves innovators in their classrooms and mentors for other members of their school or district,” said ISTE Chief Executive Officer Richard Culatta. “As an ISTE Certified Educator, Michael joins a distinguished community of educators from around the world who share their commitment to lifelong learning and their passion for engaging students in active, authentic learning.”

McCann started his teaching career in the WSD in 2006, went on to serve as an assistant principal in Warrenton from 2015-2017, and worked for Education Plus as a School Improvement Consultant before returning to the WSD as a Technology Coach this year.

He also is an adjunct professor at Missouri Baptist University.

Wentzville School District selects teacher of the year Kaci Lueking, a first grade teacher at Wabash Elementary School, has been selected as the Wentzville School District Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019. This year’s winner is presented by WSD marketing partner Central Methodist University. Candidates are judged on their ability to inspire and educate students of all backgrounds and abilities, as well as their ability to lead and inspire their colleagues.

“As I sat there listening to all the names (of the other WSD Teachers of the Year) being read, I felt so fortunate just to be sitting there with them,” Lueking shared following the announcement at the board of education meeting on Dec. 20.

Lueking has worked for the Wentzville School District since 2015.

“I enjoy every day I walk into Wabash because I don’t see this as a job, but as a passion, and I’m so lucky to work with people who feel the same way,” shared Lueking. “Wabash is an amazing elementary school with amazing leaders, and I would not be here today without the outstanding administrators, teachers, parents and students who make up the Wabash community.”

Lueking’s principal at Wabash, Matt Schulte, shared that Kaci is a model educator who is dedicated, passionate, caring and focused on student growth who is also a leader in professional learning.

“The Wabash community is fortunate to have Kaci on our team and I can’t think of a better ambassador for the Wentzville School District,” said Schulte.

As the winner of the District Teacher of the Year, Lueking is now eligible to compete at the regional and state level in the Missouri Teacher of the Year program, which is conducted annually by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in conjunction with the National Teacher of the Year program.

During the District Teacher of the Year process, each school selected their Teacher of the Year, and those teachers then went through an application and interview process to be considered for District Teacher of the Year. WSD administrator named Exemplary New Principal Laura Parn, Principal at Duello Elementary in the Wentzville School District, has been named Exemplary New Principal by the St. Louis Suburban Elementary Principals Association. This is Parn’s second year as a principal at Duello. Previously, she served as an assistant principal in the WSD at Boone Trail Elementary and Green Tree Elementary and taught prior to that at Peine Ridge Elementary. Parn was named a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund teacher in 2007 and, based on her classroom work at Peine Ridge, she received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2012. “(Mrs. Parn) truly possesses all the qualities and characteristics that make a strong educational impact on students, parents, and staff,” said Duello Assistant Principal Dani Todd in her nomination letter. “She works hard to build relationships with staff and families and challenges them to high expectations. Her belief in them gives them the confidence to achieve their individualized goals, and

FHSD Raven Robotics Team receives $5,000 grant from Monsanto Fund Francis Howell high school students on Raven Robotics Team 1288 work together to build robots to compete in an annual challenge, but one of the biggest challenges every year is securing the necessary funding.

Enter the Monsanto Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer, which recently awarded a one-time $5,000 grant to Raven Robotics to support their FIRST Robotics activities. FIRST enables teams of students to compete with others in building, designing and programming their own robots to perform preassigned tasks, giving young students a chance to get involved with real-world engineering.

“The way the grant was set up it went directly to FIRST Robotics and is paying for some of our contest fees,” said FHHS Science and Engineering teacher Dane Williamson. “At this point, we have about 60 students in the club, and we have been building a practice robot this fall so our new members get experience. We don’t know the details of the competition yet this year except it has something to do with space. The season officially kicks off in January.”

FIRST Robotics combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.

“Allowing today’s students to learn STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills through hands-on experiences is crucial to preparing our next generation to drive innovation and overcome challenges,” said Michelle Insco, Monsanto Fund program officer. “Monsanto

Jan. 12: A day in the life of frontier women

Women of the American frontier worked hard, were strong-willed, and had to be tough in order to face and survive daily challenges. Join the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department to celebrate and experience the lives of these women during “A Day in the Life: Frontier Women,” a new program offered from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Historic Daniel Boone Home near Defiance. During this oneday event, women ages 16 and older will learn the skills frontier women had to have to survive during the early 1800s. A few of the skills include fire starting, tallow candle making, black powder rifle firing and wool carding.

This exclusive, educational, handson activity is perfect for a Girl Scout troop, club or organization, or for a mother and her daughter to attend together. Space is limited. Jan. 15: Parent speaker series

Parent Speaker Series – First Impact; Preparing Drivers for the Road Ahead takes place from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Francis Howell School District at 4545 Central School Road in St. Charles.

Parents, you are invited and encouraged to bring your teen drivers with you. First Impact is a 90 – minute evidence-based traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s GDL law. The goal of First Impact is to reduce new driver crashes, resulting injuries and fatalities, by increasing parental awareness and enforcement of Missouri’s Graduated Driver License law. The program is delivered by trained GDL Coaches who coach parents by presenting key facts and proven strategies to help parents lower their teens’ crash risk by utilizing the Missouri GDL law. The statewide program is available free of charge. Speakers will be SGT Tom Mozelewski, St. Peters Police Department and Mark Hollander, VISION St. Charles County Leadership.

Jan. 18: Nerf Warz

Sign up for a fun, family-friendly game of Nerf Warz and play on the Renaud Center’s inflatable Nerf Field. The in-

door recreation complex is located at 2650 Tri Sports Circle in O’Fallon.

Each one-hour Nerf Warz session includes two 15-minute games and, when players are not engaged on the battlefield, they can practice on a shooting range and enjoy other fun activities. The cost of $20 per player per session for O’Fallon residents and $23 for non-residents includes safety glasses and an armory of foam darts (sorry, no outside darts will be allowed). But participants must bring a Nerf gun capable of shooting 7.2 cm foam darts. There’s no registration at the gate so be sure to register for Nerf Warz by Jan. 17. Men’s basketball at UMSL break losing streak against the Eagles Junior Jason Towery scored 16 points to help lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons to a 73-61 win over Southern Indiana recently in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

The Tritons capped their 12-game home stand with the win that snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Screaming Eagles and was the Tritons’ first win in the series since 2005-06.

The team will play their home games at the Family Arena starting on April 6.

Ambush takes over second place with home win The St. Louis Ambush is your professional indoor soccer team that plays in the Major League Soccer League with their home games at the Family Arena.

In a recent contest at home, the team defeated the Florida Tropics 5-4 enabling the team to improve to 4-4 taking over sole possession of second place in the south central division.

After being behind by one goal after the first quarter, the hometown fans cheered on the team as they scored five straight goals and led at half time 5-1.

Felipe Silva, JT Thomas and Jerjer Gibson each found the back of the net and Zach Reget added to the fun with two of his own.

The contest got a little interesting as the visiting team chipped away making the contest close with three goals during the second half of the game. It would be too little, too late as Paulo Nascimento and the Ambush defense held on to shut the door on the Tropics and win the match.

Paulo made eight saves in 12 save attempts (.667) in earning the win in goal for the Ambush.

Up next on the schedule are two road games for the Ambush to Milwaukee (Jan. 12) and Kansas City (Jan. 18) before returning home to host Utica City FC on Jan. 19 at 7:05 p.m. at the Family Arena.

Zucchini and Corn Tamales

Fill in the blank squares in the grid, making sure that every row, column and 3-by-3 box includes all the digits 1 through 9.

Ingredients: 30 large, softened corn husks Masa (dough): 3 cups masa harina (corn flour) 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons sea salt 2 1/3 cups vegetable broth, warmed 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup vegetable shortening Filling: 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 small red onion, diced 1 garlic clove, finely diced 3 cups zucchini, cubed small 1 tomato, cubed small 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 cup sweet white corn 4 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped 5 ounces red enchilada sauce 2 1/2 tablespoons Tabasco Pepper Sauce 8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cut into 1/2-ounce strips Directions: To prep husks: Soak corn husks in hot water. Place heavy pot on top of husks to keep submerged at least 1 hour. Once pliable, rinse each corn husk.

To make dough: In large bowl, mix corn flour, baking powder and sea salt. Using hands, mix in warm vegetable broth to make firm dough. In mixer, cream butter and shortening until fluffy then add

dough in small amounts until well mixed. Continue mixing at low-medium speed 5 minutes, scraping dough off sides of bowl. Reserve dough.

To make filling: In large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil; saute red onion and garlic until translucent. Add zucchini and mix 1 minute. Add tomato, dried oregano and sea salt; continue mixing 1 minute. Add corn and chopped cilantro. Stir and continue cooking about 2 minutes more; zucchini should be cooked but al dente. Remove filling to heat-resistant bowl.

In small bowl, combine enchilada sauce and Tabasco pepper sauce. Add half of sauce mixture to filling; mix well. Reserve remaining sauce.

To assemble tamales, spread 2 tablespoons dough onto wide end of each corn husk. Dough should

extend across corn husks, except 1 inch on sides and about 3 inches from narrow end.

Scoop about 1 tablespoon zucchini and corn filling into middle of dough. Add 1 teaspoon reserved sauce over filling and one strip cheese on top. Fold right side of corn husk over filling and seal closed with dough. Fold over left side of corn husk tightly and fold narrow end of corn husk up. Cut strips from extra corn husks and tie around each tamale to secure.

Place tamales vertically, filling-side up, in steam pot with enough water to steam 40-45 minutes. Cover tamales with extra corn husks to trap in steam; place lid on pot. Tamales are ready when masa dough separates easily from husks. Add water to pot, as necessary, for longer steaming.

‘Glass’ brings the ‘Eastrail 177’ trilogy to a close

t’s taken 18 years but director M. Night Shyamalan finally completed the trilogy that he created back in 2000. “Glass,” which arrives in theaters on Jan. 18, brings together three top talents playing a trio of Shyamalan’s memorable characters in an explosive adventure.

Coming off the success of “The Sixth Sense,” M. Night Shyamalan released “Unbreakable,” his take on superheroes and how they fit into the modern world. Bruce Willis plays David Dunn, a security guard whose personal and professional life are stagnant. After he becomes the sole survivor of the Eastrail 177 train disaster, he’s contacted by Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), owner of a comic book gallery whose bones are incredibly fragile.

Since David survived the train wreck without injury, Elijah believes that the security guard is a superhero. The film becomes David’s journey to find the truth about himself and forces him to confront suppressed memories. There doesn’t appear to be an upper limit to his strength and, when he touches people, he can sense the evil that they have done. David is immune to diseases but highly vulnerable to water. He almost drowned as a child, so Elijah points out that water is his kryptonite.

The director removed one character from “Unbreakable” because it didn’t fit the narrative but resurrected it for 2016’s “Split.” In that

Moore On Life It’s scary being married to a football fanatic this time of year. My husband is one of them. There are the crucial bowl games, which he lives for including: the Cotton, Orange, Sugar, Rose and of course the mother of all – the Super Bowl. They sound much more interesting than my bowls: the cat bowl…it’s always empty; the fish bowl… it’s always slimy; the cereal and soup bowls…they always need filling. And of course the mother of all – the toilet bowl…it always needs scrubbing.

There are approximately 989 games played during the season; all of which are of the utmost importance.

My husband retired to his subterranean man cave where he has been for weeks. He has taken down enough Cheetos and hot wings to choke a goat and enough cheesy jalapeno poppers to cause chronic constipation. Just to be sure that he does not have to surface and miss a game; he has set the pizza delivery man on speed dial and has IV bags filled with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Suddenly, there is an eerie silence. I haven’t heard cheering, wailing, cussing, floor stomping, hand clapping, whistling or burping. It’s been well over an hour.

I thought back to the time of that panic-filled morning when our first baby slept through the night. I raced into the nursery and leaned in close to see if his chest was rising. That’s kind of what I was feeling about my husband. Not worried he had stopped breathing, but that he had fallen asleep with half a pizza in his hand. And if he got

marinara sauce on my new throw pillows I’d take a jalapeno and smack him right in the popper with it.

I raced downstairs to save my pillows, but secretly wondered what to do if his heart had clogged up from eating all those fatty snacks.

I did not have defibrillator paddles on hand. I would have to improvise. I’d plug in the iron, turn it on max then slam it against his chest.

“Hey!” I yelled. “Are you alive? I haven’t heard a peep out of you!”

He awoke with eyes bulged open then tucked and rolled to dodge the iron hovering over his head.

“Next game isn’t for another hour. What’s with the iron?!”

I noticed my pillows were safe.

“Umm, just thought you might need to heat up a few of those poppers. Go back to sleep.”

I’ll check on him again in February.
