COMING HOME.
Home is where the heart is. And for many of us Filipinos, home is also where our tummies are. That’s why we bring so much ensaymadas, hopia, cornik, pastillas – you name it, we pack it – as pasalubong to our loved ones abroad.
Home is food, and food is home. In this issue, we feature the new homes of two of our favorite chefs: Ariel Manuel of the much missed Lolo Dad’s is making a comeback at his new bistro in Makati, and William Mahi, a Frenchman who now calls the Philippines home, has a new kitchen in the BGC. Finally, Cebu’s fantastic and famous 15-course churrasco beachside buffet finds a home in Metro Manila!
