MyCo Planet LLC

Robin Moore is the founder of MyCo Planet, a mushroom farm in North Kansas City, Missouri. Moore started growing mushrooms for her own use after becoming frustrated with the lack of variety at local grocery stores. She now grows about 500 pounds of mushrooms per week, supplying more than 30 restaurants, small grocery stores, and farmer's markets. Moore is a biologist who was drawn to growing mushrooms by her love of nature. She wanted to create food, educate her children, and spend more time in nature. Moore practices vertical farming, which allows her to grow a large amount of food in a small space using hydroponic grow equipment. She focuses on four strains of mushrooms: lion's mane, blue oyster, chestnut oyster, and shiitake
