CREATE GALLERY & DESIGN STORE

Create Gallery is perched on a cliff top above Mawgan Porth Beach, a secret nestled inside the Bedruthan Hotel. The spaces around the hotel are the walls of the gallery and home to original art for individuals. Inspired by Scandinavian style and simplicity, the art gallery sits alongside a design shop with a twist, full of gifts and home wares that you’ll want to take home with you. Next to the gallery is the Wild Café Bakery, the place for sourdough loaves, freshly baked deli goods, great coffee and tempting patisserie from breakfast through to dinner, so you won’t go hungry whilst browsing. If you’ve got plenty of time on your hands, a must visit is the spa where you can enjoy treatments or time using the spa garden facilities – you’ll have to book though, so call us first.

WHITEWATER GALLERY

Situated at the heart of Polzeath, Whitewater Gallery is one of the foremost destinations for collectors of contemporary Cornish Art. Its newly extended gallery space is dedicated to original painting and the very best in contemporary craft, with an ever changing mix of oils, watercolours, photography, ceramics, glassworks, sculpture and handmade print. This autumn the gallery continues its series of monthly Featured Artists exhibitions. October sees Peter Turnbull’s paintings which cover subjects from interiors and their inherent suggestions of human relationships, to powerful, elemental landscapes. Suki Wapshott’s new collection in November includes paintings inspired by the poems that resonated with her during lockdown. The 2020 programme concludes with an exhibition of 20 etchings by Sarah Seddon set in the garden allotment, based on the satirical caricatures of Goya’s Los Caprichos.

Open seven days a week, 10am to 5.30pm.
