Joyce Simpson

I am very fortunate to live in the Parish of Haworth, Stanbury & Cross Roads, better known as Bronte Country, home of the Bronte Sisters. Surrounded by fabulous countryside, there is no shortage of photo opportunities. My most creative technique was to process my images by adding an oil painting texture and have had some success selling images of Satire, a local World Heritage Site.

I signed up to Photo Artistry just as we were going into lock down and I haven’t looked back. With each visit to the course I am inspired to create something new using images that I have sat on for years not knowing what to do with them. I am also enjoying creating my own brushes and textures.

Having now signed up to Awake, I love seeing and being inspired by all the contributions of the group. I am so looking forward to the journey ahead.
