Act 1: The humble beginnings
“In the beginning was the Word…” - John 1:1
The story
of ACB&S as I know it starts about 2 years ago I presume but for me it feels like a much longer time. I remember how one fine day I went on an AC fan page (I think it was an ACB fan page) and there I saw the link to a group posted to the page. The name of the group said “Assassin’s Creed Brothers and Sisters” and the picture with it was the famous artwork of Ezio about to assassinate Cesare. I looked at the group a bit and I immediately wanted to be a part of it, so I sent a request there only to be accepted minutes later. The person who accepted me back then was the head admin and my soon to be dearest friend Luka Stanojevic. Keep this one in mind. He is somewhat of a father to ACB&S and I still see him as one of the best admins this group ever had. I quickly made friends with Luka since we shared an interest in several movies, games, TV shows and so on. And soon after that I also made good friends with Akash Naresh, Ganesh Prem and later on Akshay Mohan who are all, to this day still, admins of our group. I think at this point I should say that it originally was Ganesh who created the group, but Luka had stood out as such a capable admin that the others made him the lead admin. And a while after I joined I was made admin of ACB&S as well since my good knowledge about AC stood out to the others very much. I always did my best in my new position of admin and back then when we only had 20-30 members, that was still rather easy. But we grew steadily under Luka and soon many other members joined us and we built a great community which I was very proud to be part of.

Act 2: Of Mice and Men
”The wicked envy and hate; it is their way of admiring.” - Joseph Conrad
As our
little community grew and grew so grew our responsibility. And back then we always managed to master everything we did. Things usually came to a good outcome for any party and disputes could be solved easily. They were good times of peace and prosperity but that would not last. Back then we had many admins, most of them had been made admins for no particular reason and they were very inactive. So Luka, Ganesh, Akash, Akshay and I decided to remove all those admins that did not work with us at all and that brought us to a point where only we 5 were left. One of the former admins called James Thuppayath however took issue with our decision and wanted to be made admin again. We told him that if he would prove worthy we would readily make him admin once again but that we had to tighten our rules on who would be made admin or not, since we needed people that we could trust and who would actually work with us in the group and make it a better place. Sadly, James did not accept that, he felt that he should be made admin right away but we still refused. A few days later I checked on the group’s members and when I noticed that the admin count had increased from 5 to 6 I saw that apparently someone had made James an admin again. At that time I could only suspect who it was (my guess was on Akash and I would later be proven right) so I removed James from admin position and made a public post addressing James and once again telling him that he had to earn his spot, and also asking the admin who had made him an admin to tell me so that we could talk things through. The post turned into a heated discussion that never really came to any satisfying outcome. When I checked on the group the next day I had been removed so I immediately talked to Luka who would re-admin me and who had also removed James who had been made admin once again at that time despite the discussion the day before. I tried finding out and eventually Ganesh told me that because of his exams his cousin had taken care of his account and who presumably had gotten jealous of our community and removed me. However I still have my money on James doing it which is supported by the evidence that his brother John Thuppayath had (in a pathetic attempt to protect his little brother) told me that the other admins were behind it which I did not believe for a second. Nevertheless I had no desire for revenge at that point anymore and soon enough everything was forgotten and things were fine again. Still the memory remains but it is barely a scratch compared to what is to come…

Act 3: The Golden Age
“The golden age is before us, not behind us.” - William Shakespeare
What is
to come is a collection of events during what we today call the “Golden Age” of our group. It might be a rather short part of this story but for admins it is still one of the most important parts in this group’s history since it laid the stones for what our group would later be and everything that made it so great. I think we must have had around 100-200 members back then. After the Thuppayath incident our group needed some stability which thankfully we could provide. The group once again grew steadily and we had many good and active members. I think it was also around this time that our friend Stefan Dante joined us, who is now admin of this group and one of the best we have ever had. Anyways, as we grew and grew we needed admins and so I had an idea for a “project” of sorts, a concept that we thought through at that time and then decided to try. The “Apprentice Initiative” as we used to call it was meant to give some of our most active members the chance to become admins as well. So we let members volunteer for who would want to be whose apprentice and each of us chose from the candidates. Unfortunately the concept did not work out quite as well as planned since some other members become jealous and since we were not fully capable of “training” or apprentices to be good admins. I presume we were just not ready at that time yet. Anyway when I think back to that time I remember someone called “Connor Kenway” on Facebook who was a member of our group at that time. This Connor person had some of the traits of what we today call a “Filip typus” We had several issues with Connor over a long while but ultimately we banned him for good quite a while later and he was gone and soon out of our memories after a short time. I will conclude this part with the coming of two members shortly after one another that should change our group forever. I’m sure you all know who I am talking about. The two are Matthew Ryan Copeland and Josh Woods. I remember getting to know Matthew over an argument that we had and then afterwards making up. I saw the reason in his words and I was immediately intrigued by his person so I decided to get to know him better. We soon became good friends and I still count him as one of my best online friends to this day. As for Josh, I think he just turned up some day without anyone noticing and slowly fought himself into our hearts and minds. It was then that ACB&S first started their partnership with UACF which is one of the best and biggest AC fan pages on Facebook. And when Josh and Matthew (both admins of UACF) posted ACB&S to their page, our growth in numbers was huge and soon, we would make Matthew an admin which would prove to be one of the best choices we ever made.

Act 4: Rise of a new Mentor
“Now, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” - Winston Churchill
This act
will begin with one of the most unfortunate and ill remembered events in our group’s history and it is probably the first of the great crises of our group. By then we were of the opinion that Luka had somewhat neglected his duties and had become inactive. Matthew and I were technically running the group back then and so, one day we decided to talk to Luka and confront him. It had all started however with another idea of mine the “Council”. This Council should be an force in the group that would have an even number of normal members and admins and each should represent their own interests. The Council however did not entirely work out as planned and so Luka also suspected that Matthew and I were trying to take power away from him. We unjustly accused Luka of having become a bad leader and the argument became very, very heated and resulted in me banning Luka from ACB&S and making Matthew the new lead admin. This brought about a second Golden Age of sorts. Matthew was a very capable leader and did a great job. He always made the right decisions and with the help of our two new admins Stefan Dante and Josh Woods who were in their new position now instead of Luka we grew steadily again and formed a community almost the way it is now. Nevertheless I was in grief over what I had done since Luka had been my trusted friend and I had betrayed him but we still kept in touch thankfully. In this time however yet another great member to our group joined, who is an admin today. I’m of course referring to our good friend Pedro Inacio. I also remember yet another individual that resembled the “Filip typus” back then and his name was Txg Shady. He used to swear a lot but somehow we never really banned him since there were times when he was acting completely normal and civilised and other times when he was just out of his mind. I don’t remember what ultimately caused us to ban him but in the end it does not matter anymore. I fear that there is really not much more to say at this point, except for the fact that there was a lot to come for our group very, very soon. But we had no idea of the full extent of what would happen in the end and what this would ultimately mean for us all…..

Act 5: The Brotherhood Incident and the Filipean Wars: Part 1
“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.” - William Shakespeare
This is
probably going to be the most thrilling and eventful but also the saddest and most critical part of our history. It was a time of great turmoil and disputes, of quarrels and of hurt feelings and it ultimately resulted in the only thing such events can result in. Chaos. It all started with the arrival of one member, whose arrival you, my dear readers, have all been eagerly waiting for. An individual that I have earlier already referenced by his infamous name and attitude that would shape our views on all that seemed alike to him may they have come after or before. But in the end there can be only one. He is Filip Ljuljdjuraj and we all know him well. When Filip joined he seemed rather an unlikely threat. None of us would have suspected what this would all come to in the end. Naturally there were minor arguments at first which would soon enough result in bigger arguments. Yet somehow we didn’t ban him. We tried; we gave him second chances, most of us eventually did, Josh, Matthew and me too. We also got in contact with another group, called “The Brotherhood” which had a very absolute reign compared to our somewhat democratic environment. Their leader Alberto Azai Bautista was almost worshipped by them and so we tried negotiating so that there might be a bit of Order there. By then we had banned Filip and he had created his own group “The Assassin Order” and page “Major Assassin’s Creed Fans” and had also formed a friend and partnership with Yash Shelkatar and his group “Serious Gamers”. To bring more Order to The Brotherhood, Matthew infiltrated it and managed to become admin there. He removed Alberto and held the group for a while, yet when the members rebelled and demanded Alberto to be brought back, Matthew destroyed the group and removed all the members. This caused great dispute between everyone, and controversy between us admins as well. On one side there were Alberto with The Brotherhood which he had now renewed, Filip with TAO and Yash with Serious Gamers and on the other side was ACB&S. Ultimately however all those arguments resulted in nothing but distrust among the groups, hurt feelings and even more fights, sooner than we would have thought and more critical than ever before. This would also cause Matthew to leave our group and so we made Talal Hassan an admin instead of him and also Pedro Inacio later on.

Act 6: The Brotherhood Incident and the Filipean Wars: Part 2
“What’s done cannot be undone”. - William Shakespeare
After all
all that happened in the first part of this section of our history the second part only shows even more fighting. Now comes a part of our history that I see was wrong now but it is nevertheless part of our history and I am not ashamed to write about it. I remember how at first Yash and Filip and some others on their side wanted to hack ACB&S and destroy us but naturally it never worked out. So Stefan and I made a plan. And it worked out. We convinced Yash that Filip was trying to destroy his group “Serious Gamers”, then Stefan told Yash that he could put a script on “Serious Gamers” so that it could never be hacked. He would only have to make Stefan admin. Yash believed him and so Stefan removed him once he had been made admin and then I helped him to remove all members from Serious Gamers. Soon after, Filip had helped Yash to build “Serious Gamers” back up but the group never really got the hang of it after that and it is forgotten now. After that Stefan and I went on to a different matter and that was, destroying our old Archenemy’s group. With the help of Josh we infiltrated TAO and tried to negotiate with Filip. If he would stop his reign of terror over his members we would give his group back to him. We believed that he would learn and mature and so we gave the group back to him. There was peace for a while but then came many arguments with Filip over all sorts of things and soon enough we had become enemies with him again. Sometime later we once again tried to infiltrate TAO by pretending that we had kicked Josh out of the group, but we made decided against it since we realised that our behaviour was silly and immature. We agreed to disagree and that Filip should stay out of our group if we would stay out of his. However, Josh was very merciful with Filip and he added him back to ACB&S a while later, which annoyed the other admins, particularly me. I decided that Josh would have to be taught a lesson and so I removed him from ACB&S after we argued. I had a plan of adding him back when he had come to his sense again. After a quite heated argument with Talal in which I realised that I had made mistakes too I turned to talking to Josh. Realising however that Josh was pretty pissed with us all for being so mean to Filip I decided that it was best to leave the past behind and make peace with Filip. Nevertheless I knew that Stefan or somebody else would be very displeased with my choice and so in order to make sure that I would recieve no damage in the making of that peace and to ensure that it would be an ultimate and lasting peace I chose to do this: I made a post about how guilty I felt about what had happened and that it was all my fault and then to finally leave the group, just to come back at a later time and to ensure that in the course of my comeback which I knew would surely be an emotional event of much forgiveness and understanding, there would be peace.

Act 7: The Future looks bright
I know
this was rather a long read but I hope that you enjoyed it my dear readers, members and friends. This Act will serve for what is to come in the future since what I have written down is merely a part of our history. The past. And in the end, our past only matters if it affects the way it changes our future. Here I also want to name some members that are particularly active at the moment and I want to thank them for keeping this group alive. If your name has not been mentioned then I am most sorry. So, I want to thank my fellow admins of the past and of the present, Luka Stanojevic, Matthew Ryan Copeland, Akash Naresh, Ganesh Prem, Akshay Mohan, Josh Woods, Stefan Dante, Pedro Inacio and Talal Hassan. And then I want to thank other members who I consider my friends and who have always stood out to me particularly. I want to thank Sadie Parrington, Bill Summers, Joel Boroughs, Brad Heilman, Asta Roth, Sajan Dhaliwal, Luqman Hakim, Ivan Cooler, Megan Koolanovich and all those others that I have forgotten now. Forgive me. Seeing as our group now has over 5000 members and is growing rapidly I am glad that I have been here almost since the start of everything. I truly hope that this group will grow even bigger and that we will all make even more friendships and create new bonds. This group has given me so much and I just want to thank it, and all of you for that. Yes even you, there sitting in front of your screen as you are reading this. Know that you have my thanks since you are reading my words and you have contributed to this group. The members of this group are everything that make it great and without them it would be nothing. They are what keep it alive; they are the blood in its veins, the air in its lungs and muscles and bones to keep it steady. I want to end this short recollection of my memories with this group with yet another quote that I find fitting since, after all, this documentation is about our past and our past is what defines us.
