Council approves Wagner expansion GREENVILLE – The Wagner Avenue expansion project that was proposed in June of this year received unanimous approval on Tuesday at the Greenville City Council meeting. The project was previously met with opposition from two council members who did not want to push the tax burden onto future taxpayers when the city’s portion of the 30-year zero interest loan would begin 24-years from now. The project widens Wagner Avenue north of Lowe’s and each of the property owners would pay

their portion of the road widening project through an assessment on their property taxes for the next 20 years. The city is responsible for its portion, approximately $416,000. According to Auditor Roxanne Willman, the administration met with councilmen John Hensley and Clarence Godwin to come up with a compromise. The new plan allows the city to amortize their portion of the loan over 30 years. Council also heard a request from Fire Chief Russ Thompson who asked council to fund the start up costs that would allow the department to become an Advanced Life Support (ALS) engine company. “This year, we

Toy Contest approaches ANSONIA — The 26th annual Wooden Toy Contest is slated for Dec. 14 at the Ansonia Lumber Co. It’s an event where people bring in their own homemade toys, get them judged and McCabe then they’re given away to needy children in the area, via distribution from Operation Christmas Cheer, according to Mitch McCabe, overseer of this annual event. Judging, with The American Woodshop’s Scott Phillips is set for 9:30 a.m., and he bases his criteria on style, originality and quality. His decision will be final. New this year will be a youth division for those 18 years and younger. Some youth have competed before; however, there wasn’t a youth division available prior to this year. Grand prize in the adult division will be an engraved Case knife with gift box and a $50 gift certificate, while a Milwaukee 12V drill will be the grand prize for the winning youth. Entries, McCabe said, can be brought in to the lumber company that day or sometime the week before. Toys will be displayed until the time of judging, and winners do not have to be present to win. Entries become the property of Operation Christmas Cheer and

cannot be returned. McCabe said employees of Ansonia Lumber Co. are encouraged to enter a donation, but are not eligible to win a prize. He said he even tries to donate one toy a year. McCabe was working for Flaig Lumber in New Madison when he began the first wooden toy contest, and Scott Phillips has served as judge from the very start, with the exception of one year when his vehicle was involved in a crash on a snowy day en route to Ansonia. But, the show went on with representatives from both area newspapers plus a representative from Operation Christmas Cheer serving as judges. McCabe, who worked at Flaig’s for 24 years before coming to Ansonia Lumber 17 years ago, said he met Phillips earlier in the year of the first contest. “I was with one of the gentlemen we bought lumber from who graduated with Scott who said I ought to meet him. I took my oldest son, Sam, to watch his show in his one-car garage. That was in about Scott’s second year. Later on, when I got the idea for a toy contest, I thought, ‘If Scott would be a judge that would be a draw for the event.’” Phillips obliged and always tells the crowd in Ansonia each year that this is the only contest he will judge. changed our response plan with Greenville (Township) Rescue. We are doing a lot more first responder calls when they have their units tied up,” he said. “The new thing we’ve been doing is that we go on a lot of cardiac arrests with them.” The City of Greenville Fire Department has responded to 61 EMS calls with rescue, which is three times the number they did the previous year. “All of our personnel are EMTs or basic life support. That’s the requirement. A third of our personnel are paramedic certified, which is advanced life support.” Chief Thompson believes the problem is they are being dispatched without a basic life

support rig. “These personnel have the skills and knowledge to conduct ALS care, but we haven’t given them the equipment to do so,” he said. The chief asked to purchase a fully equipped Crisis Bag. The fire department has the funds available for the Crisis Bag. However, the department is also seeking a 12-lead monitor/defibrillator from Stryker. The cost of the unit is $27,452.68. If approved, the city would be able to pay for the unit with CIP funds over three years through a zero-interest loan through Stryker. Thompson said,. “Sometimes we’re going to be beat them. Traffic stop leads to OVI arrest DUI On Nov. 12 an officer conducted a traffic stop after witnessing a vehicle fail to yield to another vehicle traveling west bound on East Main Street near the intersec-

registered owner of the vehicle. While Meyer was looking for her driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance, the officer observed an open bottle of beer sitting in a cup holder inside the vehicle. When asked who the beer belonged to, Meyer said it belonged to a friend she just dropped off. The officer took the open container, which was cold to the touch and about half full. There was no other subject in the vehicle. While speaking with Meyer, the officer could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. The officer also observed Meyer was slurring her words when she spoke. The officer asked Meyer how much she had to drink that night and she said about two beers. When asked what time she had the beers, she said it had been about 30 minutes prior to the traffic stop. The officer asked Meyer to exit the vehicle and perform a set of standardized field sobriety tests to confirm she was OK to be operating the vehicle. According to the report, Meyer was very unbalanced and could not follow directions during the testing. Meyer performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for operating under the influence. Meyer was transported to the Greenville Police Department, where she was asked to submit to a chemical breathalyzer test, which she refused. Meyer was placed under an administrative license suspension and her driver’s license was taken. While at the Greenville Police Department Meyer admitted the open container in the vehicle was hers. She also admitted to consuming four beers at Tolly’s before operating the vehicle. Meyer was cited for operating under the influence and failure

to yield and was given a warning for the open container. Meyer was released to a friend. Wanted Person On Nov. 17 three officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of West Harmon to check for a subject with an outstanding warrant. One of the officers was familiar with the residence and knew there were subjects living in the back garage. As one of the officers walked around the rear of the residence they saw a subject in a black hoodie matching the height and weight of the possible suspect, Nathan McClain. All three officers went towards the rear of the residence and saw McClain get into a vehicle. One of the officers opened the car door and escorted McClain out of the vehicle. He was arrested and searched prior to arrest. Through LEADS/ NCIC, McLain was confirmed to have three outstanding warrants through the Greenville Police Department, including failure to appear on charges of trespass with a bond of $525; failure to appear on charges of theft with a bond $2,025; and failure to appear on charges of theft and criminal damaging with a bond of $1,525. McLain was transported to the Darke County Jail.

VoicePlay will be help ring in the holidays with a special performance on Dec. 14.

Celebrate holidays with DCCA on Dec. 14 GREENVILLE – Darke County Center for the Arts will present awardwinning a cappella quintet VoicePlay in concert at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall on Saturday, Dec. 14; this special holiday event begins at 8 p.m. “Their hilarious onstage theatrics and amazing musical skills combine to create inventive, unique, and memorable performances; that probably explains why our audience demanded that we bring VoicePlay back to our community,” said DCCA Artistic Director David Warner. “This holiday concert is like no other, but without doubt will inspire the joy of the season and spread holiday cheer,” he stated. VoicePlay originally gained fame as a finalist on season four of NBC’s The Sing-Off, and has continued to win acclaim touring across the U.S. and around the world. According to Mr. Warner, the group’s members, Earl Elkins, Jr., Eli Jacobson, J. None, Geoff Castellucci, and Layne Stein, use only their own voices to create a fully orchestrated sound while performing songs from many eras in a broad variety of styles. “They have a lot of fun emoting and vocalizing and creating their own musical accompaniment, and that sense of fun is transmitted to the audience which can’t help but get caught up in the magic,” Mr. Warner commented.

Main Street Greenville hosts Win the Window GREENVILLE – This holiday season, shoppers can earn chances to win hundreds of dollars in merchandise and gift certificates through “Win the Window,” a shop local campaign by Main Street Greenville and Second National Bank. “This promotion was created to encourage and remind people to shop local during the holiday season and to support our downtown businesses,” said Crysta Hutchinson Bloomingdale, executive director for Main Street Greenville. From Nov. 23 to Dec. 8, shoppers can enter to win by spending money at any of the participating downtown Greenville businesses. Find the list of participating businesses and prizes on the Main Street Greenville website, www.mainstreetgreenville. org. Participating businesses have provided merchandise and gift certificates to place under the Christmas tree in Main Street Green-

ville’s window, located in the Darke County Welcome Center at 421 S. Broadway. Shoppers will get a ticket entry for every $5 they spend at a participating downtown business, up to single purchases of $1,000. For example, if you spend $100 at a business, you will receive 20 tickets to enter into the contest to win the window of prizes. There is no limit to how many times you can shop to enter. The more you spend downtown at participating businesses, the more chances you have to win the window full of prizes. New to the contest this year, there will be multiple winners. The bounty of merchandise and gift certificates has been divided into categories such as home decor, hair care, apparel, and food & drink. Each category will have a winner for a grand total of four chances to win. Your chances are better than ever this year; make sure you get your entries in.

Participating businesses will have tickets available at the time of your purchases and a glass jar to collect all of the tickets for the drawing. The drawing for the winners will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Street Greenville office, located in the Darke County Welcome Center at 421 S. Broadway. You are not required to be present to win. In conjunction with the Win the Window contest, Main Street Greenville is once again serving as a Neighborhood Champion for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30. Small Business Saturday is an American shopping holiday held on the Saturday after U.S. Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. First observed in 2010, it is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encour-

Everyone Plays a Part is Wreaths Across America theme GREENVILLE – Each year, millions of Americans - a third of whom are children - come together to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those that serve and their families, and TEACH the next generation about the value of freedom. This gathering of individuals and communities takes place in local and national cemeteries in all 50 states as part of National Wreaths Across America Day. Locally, Fort GreeneVille Chapter DAR will be coordinating Wreaths Across America at the Greenville Union Cemetery on Dec. 14 at noon. Each year, a new theme is chosen to help volunteers and supporters focus their messaging and outreach in their own communities. Today, the national nonprofit announces the theme for 2019 is “Everyone Plays a Part.” The inspiration for this Sm

year’s theme was a recommendation made by 10-year-old “Mighty” Miles Worcester, the grandson of the founders of Wreaths Across America. Last May, while in Washington D.C. for an event, Miles saw a U.S. Service member in uniform at the hotel where he was staying. As he always does, Miles walked up to the gentleman, reached out to shake his hand and thanked him for his service. And his response was simple and impactful: “Thank you… everyone plays a part.” Miles went directly to his grandmother, WAA Executive Director Karen Worcester, to tell her that he believed this statement would be the perfect theme because, as he said, “those serving in the military are doing their part, but it is our part as Americans to remember and honor them, and that’s what Wreaths Across

When asked how he feels to know so many people across the country come together each December to Remember, Honor and Teach, Miles said without hesitation, “It makes me feel proud to be an American.” In 2018, nearly 1.8 million veteran wreaths were placed on headstones at

1,640 participating cemeteries around the country in honor of the service and sacrifices made for our freedoms, with each name said out loud. CU coach Wes Rowe continues his dominance as he enters his 13th season at the helm of the Lady Yellow Jackets. Former Greenville Lady Wave star Nicole Davis, a 2011 GHS graduate was an All-American for the Lady Yellow Jackets program.

The NCAA D-II Lady Yellow Jackets program’s close proximity to Greenville had an influence on Pressnall’s college choice. “I didn’t want to go too far away,” Pressnall noted. “I can still be close to home and come home when we have days off.” The Greenville senior third baseman still has one final season to take the field for the Lady Wave softball program wearing the No. 7, a program that has an impressive 80-15 record in Pressnall’s three years to date with the team. “Zoe is part of the senior class with 80-wins and already has won the past three District Finals,” Newland said. “No 7 is a great kid and is part of an awesome family. I would like to thank them for everything and can’t wait till she is leading us in June.” “One of the favorite moments so far was when Zoe hit a grand slam that

Morgan Gilbert signs with IUPUI GREENVILLE – Greenville’s Morgan Gilbert, the daughter of Misty and Travis Gilbert signed to play softball for the IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis) Lady Jaguars while continuing her education. IUPUI, a NCAA D-I program competes in the Horizon League. The Jags softball program is led by former Wright State University assistant coach Elizabeth Beirne. Beirne and both her assistants are former WSU players and coaches. “The coaches seem pretty excited in what they have going on there,” Gilbert said of IUPUI. “They focus a lot on family and keeping the team together and strong.” “They are growing and getting better,” continued Gilbert. “They have fairly new coaches that will be in their third or fourth year by the time I get there next year. They are just developing the program and growing it.” “Gilby (Gilbert) will go to IUPUI and be tossed right into the mix very quickly,” said veteran Lady Wave softball coach Jerrod Newland. “Morgan plays shallow left field instead of short stop is my joke – the range and arm

is amazing.” “Morgan plays at a high level and covers half the field,” Newland added. “It’s tough to come in and play short stop every game in your career. She plays for the name on the front and has a goal with her fellow seniors is to get to Akron.” Gilbert plans to pursue studies in engineering at Indiana’s fourth largest college with an enrollment in excess of 37,000 students that includes former United States Vice President Dan Quayle and current VP Mike Pence among their many notable alumni. “I plan to major in engineering but I haven’t decided which kind yet,” Gilbert said of her choice of studies. “IUPUI offers a lot of options to explore, so that will be nice.” Gilbert comes into her senior season as a two time All-Ohio player along with numerous honors and accolades. “The Jags are getting a great kid and awesome family,” said Newland. “Gilbert is a four year letterman, All-League player and two time All-Ohioan here at Greenville. She has made numerous key plays and hits here in her career with more to come.” In three years with a senior season still to go as the Lady Wave start-

body’s eye and you might not get noticed all weekend. It just depends on what happens and sometimes it’s a waiting game just to see what comes to you.” The Lady Wave shortstop not only hits for power but often had her speed put to the test at the plate playing summer travel ball. “During summer ball the coach lets me bunt a lot more so I am able to show a lot more of my speed,” said Gilbert, “but it just depends on the situation.” The highly recruited Gilbert like any D-I recruit will have to earn an on-field positon along with playing time. “I know at that level they will give you a chance to play anywhere, but it just depends what they already have,” Gilbert stated. “Obviously you have to earn your spot each year for everything, so it will depend what they think.” Coach Jerrod Newland played a major role along with Gilbert’s natural ability in getting the Lady Wave AllOhioan to the next level. Coach Newland knows how to get the best out of you and he always pushes you to your limit,” Gilbert stated. “He obviously has a good program, a winning program and he knows what it means to work hard and actually enjoy the game. He always tells me that there’s not many players that can actually enjoy it and look like they enjoy it…so that is a big part of it.” “I am proud of Morgan

and how she has grown as a person, player and leader over the past few seasons,” said Newland. “She has worked hard and is a great role model for the young kids. Most superstars don’t load and unload the equipment van. I think they threw her mold away after she got here.” With choices of D-I programs to sign with, the process came down to the final minutes as options were taken into consideration. “I am excited just because my parents will be able to watch a lot more of the games,” Gilbert said of her late decision to play in Indiana over Tennessee. “We play a lot of the schools up north so they won’t have to travel as far to see my games.” “My parents because they drive me to every tournament, they pay for it, they are always there to support me,” Gilbert said of those she wanted to thank. “Grandpa Gilbert is always at the games too.” “I want to thank Coach Newland and all the high school coaches and a special thanks to my Ohio Hawks travel coach, Tara Wagner,” added Gilbert. “Gilby has made many people proud and hats off to an amazing family and support system,” Coach Newland concluded. “The little 9-year-old that would carry on a conversation with the umpire, to a stud 18-year- old – awesome student.”

and that’s a great deal for her too.” Coach Ingold believes the signing of Weaver to a D-I school can only have a positive impact on Franklin Monroe as well as the Lady Jets track and field program. “It gives a lot of credibility to our program and it certainly gives some motivation to some of those younger athletes to see somebody like Selene who has been part of our program for six years at this point,” stated Ingold. “Selene has had so much success and is going Gaylen Blosser | DarkeCountyMedia.com to move on and get some of Franklin Monroe Lady Jets Selene Weaver signs to pole vault for NCAA her college paid for and have D-I Indiana State University track and field program. the opportunity to compete best days are ahead of her.” thing just kind of fell in at the NCAA D-I level. I also want to thank my coach, Rick Ingold –Steve Shellhaas and Micah Coblentz and Mark Booso. Steve opens up his home where we practice, that is where Ultimate Air is and that means so much to me. At the state meet, Micah Coblentz brought extra poles and helped coach me and I think that’s amazing.” I want to thank my coaches from Indiana State; Jeff Martin (pole vault coach) and Angela Martin (Head Coach) both for giving me the opportunity,” Weaver said of the husband and wife duo. “I want to thank them for giving me the opportunity to continue my athletic and academic careers.”

ing shortstop, Gilbert has amassed 135 runs scored, 133 hits, 34 doubles, 10 triples and 16 home runs while holding down the shortstop position with incredible fielding percentages of 0.966 in 2017, 0.928 in 2018 and 0.946 in 2019, her junior year. “Gilby is on a pace to break some lofty career numbers here at GHS and is a part of the senior class with 80 wins (80-15) already and has won the past three district finals,” Newland said. “No. 5 (Gilbert) is a great kid and is part of an awesome family. I would like to thank them for everything and can’t wait till she is leading us in June.” Playing shortstop for the Lady Wave and the Ohio Hawks travel team continually drew the attention

of NCAA D-I coaches as the team crisscrossed the country putting their talents on display for college recruiters and coaches. “They have been to multiple tournaments, especially this past fall,” Gilbert said of the IUPUI coaches. “The tournaments we go to are recruiting tournaments so they have been there already. A girl on my travel team is going there as well, so they were there to watch her a lot.” The recruiting process now complete allows Gilbert to focus her attention on her final season playing for the Lady Wave program. “It is stressful just because you never know who’s watching,” Gilbert noted. “And at tournaments, you just don’t know – you might make a play and it might catch some-

GREENVILLE – The Fish Mitten Tree once again needs donated gloves and mittens to decorate its branches; these donations will be distributed to the children enrolled in Darke County Head Start programs. In addition to the Mitten Tree located at Montage, 525 South Broadway in Greenville, a Mitten Tree also will stand inside the Brethren Retirement Community, 750 Chestnut St., Greenville, and in Fourman’s Variety Store, 4 West George St., Arcanum. Many churches and organizations also erect trees which collect gloves and mittens from their members; these donations are then passed on to Fish to be given to the little Head Start participants. The Mitten Tree has been an annual holiday project of the local Fish organization for over 50 years. “The Mitten Tree provides the opportunity for people of all ages and incomes to

participate in the true spirit of the season,” said Marilyn Delk, the Fish volunteer coordinating the Mitten Tree project. “We sincerely hope that our generous neighbors will once again this year be able to spare the relatively small amount required to purchase a pair of mittens or gloves and bring joy and warmth to local children who may not receive many other gifts this Christmas,” Mrs. Delk concluded. To best meet the needs of children directly served by Head Starr programs, donated gloves and mittens should fit boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 5; however, donated items in larger or smaller sizes will be shared with Head Start families. So that the mittens and gloves can be distributed prior to Christmas, contributions should be made by Dec. 16. For more information regarding the Mitten Tree, contact Mrs. Delk at (937)

Stop Bullying presentation set GREENVILLE - A variety of sources note that children of all ages can suffer emotional problems due to bullying and that as many as a half of all young people have been or are currently being bullied. Cyber bullying is also on the rise as nearly half of all teens are affected. Persistent bullying in teens can lead to or worsen feelings of isolation, rejection, exclusion, and despair, as well as depression and anxiety, which can contribute to suicidal behavior. In their research, Edison State Community College Darke County Campus communications students have found bullying often extends into the home and adult workplace, and impacts as many as a third of all adults. So what can you, as adults, do to protect your

children and grandchildren? Or even yourselves? On Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m., the Edison State students will be at the Greenville Public Library to address the issue of bullying. Their goal is to provide adults with information that could help them understand and deal with the problem. This is a free event. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is not necessary. Another team of students will be making a presentation to Kiwanis of Greenville on Dec. 11. The students will focus on the impact of bullying on people of all ages. Kiwanis meets weekly and is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving its community; guests are welcome, however seating is limited. If interested,

contact Bob Robinson at brobinson@edisonohio.edu for more information. Ten additional presentations have been planned by 49 Edison State Communications students. The other presentations will be directed toward various age groups at Greenville Middle School, Ansonia Elementary and Tri-Village Elementary. For a number of years, the Edison State Fundamentals of Communication students have been educating young people on bullying, drug abuse, and literacy. They have visited nearly every school district in Darke County in order to talk about the consequences of risky or abusive behavior. This is a project researched and presented by college communications students for their final grade.

We need to stay marketable and keep learning. She spoke a little on the history of Edison State Community College with the main campus in Piqua, and other campuses located in Greenville, Eaton and Troy. The online classes continue to grow in numbers. Their student population covers all demographics and ages. The college credit plus program allows high school students to take classes and potentially earn their Associates degree at no cost. Transfer degree pathways and Technical degree pathways are offered. Building a skilled workforce is a big demand at present. Carlisle stated they are working with local businesses and industry on providing skilled workers with non-credit classes and certificates. Also available are STNA and insurance apprenticeships. Versailles FFA toy drive through December 17 VERSAILLES – The Versailles FFA chapter is conducting its annual toy collection. The chapter is

teaming up with the Versailles Council of Churches and conducting a new toy collection drive that will

be given to the families that are served through the Versailles Council of Churches. The Versailles FFA has been teaming up with the Versailles Council of Churches for the past four years. The new toys that are distributed through Council of Churches are babies through age of 16. These toys will be collected in various barrels within the Versailles area. Any extra new toys that are not distributed through the Council of Churches will be given to St. Denis Catholic Church, Rustic Hope, Ronald McDonald House of Dayton, St. Vincent DePaul and Dayton Children’s Hospital. If you are interested in bringing in used toys in good to excellent condition you can do that as well. The slightly used toys

will be distributed through Rustic Hope. The goal is to have two barrels at each location with one barrel to collect the new toys and the other barrel to collect the used toys. Donations can be made through Dec. 17. The drop off spots include Versailles Saving and Loans, St. Denis Catholic Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Versailles Christian Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Versailles United Methodist Church, Webster United Methodist Church, Second National Bank, US Bank, Dollar General, Versailles Ace Hardware, Johns IGA and Versailles Schools Cafetorium. To make a monetary donation, make checks payable to Versailles Council of Churches or to Versailles FFA at 280 Marker

Road, Versailles, Ohio 45380. Versailles Savings and Loan will match up to $200 in monetary dona-

tions. Join them in making the holiday season brighter for all Darke County and other local children.

Holiday film shown at library GREENVILLE – The Greenville Public Library’s Third Floor Film Series will be screening the holiday comedy Christmas in Connecticut on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. This 1945 film classic was directed by Peter Godfrey and stars Barbara Stanwyck as Elizabeth Lane, a highly successful food and lifestyle writer for a New York newspaper. Unfortunately, Lane can’t actually cook, isn’t a wife and mother as her column claims, and knows next to nothing about housekeeping. All of her recipes come from her uncle, a chef. Lane’s life nearly comes undone when an injured sol-

dier who loves her column reaches out to her editor requesting Lane cook him a holiday meal upon his return from war. Her domestic ineptitude is about to be exposed, and a last minute attempt to maintain her ruse in person only threatens to make things worse. Holiday hijinks ensue in this lighthearted and ultimately heartwarming romp that also starred Dennis Morgan and Sydney Greenstreet. David Nilsen will also be announcing the films in the Third Floor Film Series winter 2020 season. Refreshments will be provided and a short discussion will fol-

Scholarship recipients honored PIQUA – Edison State Community College, in partnership with The Edison Foundation, recognized over 140 students during the annual scholarship recognition dinner on Oct. 3, at the Piqua Campus. The event provides recipients with the opportunity to meet the patrons that made their scholarships available. Following networking and dinner, Regina Duff, Edison State alumni, and Obstetrics Director at Wayne HealthCare explained why Edison State was the right choice for her. “Looking back to when I started down my career path, I picked Edison State because it was close to home, they offered small class sizes, and it was affordable. I had two young children at home while I was working, and yet I was able to take classes. It was hard work, but I got through.” Duff then went on to explain how the education she received at Edison State helped to propel her career. “Little did I know how much my life would

change for the better the minute I walked through the same doors as you. Achieving my nursing degree was worth the hard work and dedication.” “I love what I do, but nursing can also bring obstacles and opportunities that continually challenge you to be the best you can be,” said Duff. “Whether it be at the bedside giving care or providing leadership to my staff, I am the one who is truly blessed and fortunate for this amazing opportunity and career.” After graduating from Edison State, Duff went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Wright State University. She is also certified in

She and her husband, Jon, reside in Miami County and have two children and three grandchildren.
