One of my favorite things to do in Sand Springs is people watch. Whether I am at church, about town, at a public event or a youth game, Sandites NEVER disappoint. There are alway people to find that are giving of their time, space, money, energy, and heart and those people are who I am always looking for in my people watching time. I want to catch those moments happen! The moments of significance.
I know that as the fall festivities and busyness of life starts back up it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and irritable. As a mom of three of all ages, business owner and volunteer… I promise I can relate. Can I encourage you? When you feel like your world is moving too fast, slow down and watch a Sandite. Choose to look for these moments I’ve mentioned. The reuniting of an elementary teacher and a high schooler in a QT, the deep worship of someone that is truly grateful, the skipping of kids simply excited about life, the conversation between parents sharing their prayers and concerns with each other, the encouragement of strangers.. and the list goes on.. These moments will make you smile I am most certain about that.
Sandites, you are so good! You love big and care deeply. I love our community!

SAND SPRINGS EDUCATION 26TH ANNUAL
As we jump back into full swing of the school schedule the Sand Springs Education Foundation has rustled up a calendar of activities for the fall semester. The SSEF serves as a private partner of the Sand Springs Public Schools that provides grants to support programs and teaching projects for which funds are not available from federal, state and local sources. The foundation has been helping district teachers for over 30 years. Grants have been secured to purchase special equipment while others have been used to implement innovative projects which emphasize new teaching approaches for their students.
It’s the goal of the SSEF to help enhance the
learning opportunities for the students in the Sand Springs district. One of the ways the foundation is currently doing that is through their 26th Annual Golf Tournament on September 19th at the Tulsa Country Club. They are still registering teams and hole sponsors at this time. The Annual Golf Tournament is a great way to network, give back to the Sand Springs community and raise funds for the future of our school district. As Tirita Montross says, “We would love to see you Tee Up for Education!”
