LOVE GIVES
Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8
LIVING OUT LOVE Claimed by the Love of God in Jesus Christ, Myers Park Presbyterian Church joins God’s transforming work in the city of Charlotte and in the world. MPPC has long heard God’s call to grow in faith, to go and make disciples and to experience God at work. Through partnerships in Charlotte and around the world, we respond to Jesus’s invitation to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. We are grateful that you have picked up Love Gives, a family album filled with pictures of our church’s brothers and sisters in this city and around the world. As you are blessed with smiling faces and images of God’s love at work, you will also see many opportunities to help make a difference in these ministries. Thank you for generously supporting Myers Park Presbyterian Church’s outreach efforts. Through your gifts, prayers, and partnerships we see how love lives out loud by building up a child, a home, a neighborhood and a world. To make a contribution, please fill out the enclosed Gift Form (which can be mailed or dropped off at MPPC), or visit myersparkpres.org/lovegives to make an online purchase. “Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water! Are you penniless? Come anyway—buy and eat! Come, buy your drinks, buy wine and milk. Buy without money—everything’s free! Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy? Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest. Pay attention, come close now, listen carefully to my life-giving, life-nourishing words. I’m making a lasting covenant commitment with you, the same that I made with David: sure, solid, enduring love. I set him up as a witness to the nations, made him a prince and leader of the nations, And now I’m doing it to you: You’ll summon nations you’ve never heard of, and nations who’ve never heard of you will come running to you Because of me, your God, because The Holy of Israel has honored you.” Isaiah 55:1-3
