Spain Welcome to the land of Flamenco, castanets, bull fighting, and the art of Goya, Picasso and Dali, to name just a few. Rich in historic cities and towns, these tours through Spain will introduce you to the magic of Andalusia's rolling countryside dotted with olive groves, and famous for its Moorish cities of Seville and Granada. Enjoy the Mediterranean ambiance of Valencia, home of the mouth-watering paella, and vibrant Barcelona with its Gaudi architectural wonders and cobble-stoned Gothic Quarter. Plus, no visit to Spain is complete without time spent in its majestic capital, Madrid. Take the opportunity to combine Spain and Portugal adding the fascinating cities of Lisbon and Porto to time in Madrid, Seville and Granada. Lisbon, Europe's smallest capital, is a quietly sophisticated city, spread out across seven hills not far from the Tagus River while Porto is renowned for its port wines and its tile-faced buildings.
France This is a country that just oozes romance, good food and great wines, cities of grandeur and chic and towns full of history. Whatever the season, there's always a good reason to spend time in France, a country that offers something for every age and interest. And, it goes without saying that Paris is the best place to start any journey through France. Filled to the brim with some of the world's finest art galleries, Belle Epoch architecture, medieval churches and iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs ÉlysÊes, Paris is a city for walking and exploring and shopping and dining and just enjoying the elegant Gallic atmosphere. In the countryside vineyards beckon and taking part in a cooking class followed by wine-tasting couldn't be a more French experience. Cruising on one of France's most bucolic rivers, the beautiful Rhone is another delightful way of experiencing this bountiful land. Further south where a Mediterranean sun fills each day with warmth, enjoy the lovely region of Provence that will charm you with its ancient towns, mountainous scenery and seaside resorts.
Malta Malta is one of the most historically fascinating islands of the Mediterranean and has often played an important role down through the ages. Inhabited since Neolithic times, Malta was colonized by Phoenicians, and it here that St. Paul was shipwrecked. Visit Valletta, the island's capital, and marvel at the Crusaders' fortresses, the city's Baroque architecture and its cathedral filled with the art of Caravaggio. See early Copper-age ruins pre-dating the Pyramids, an exquisitely tiled Roman villa and visit Mdina, the 'silent city', a hilltop town of carless, narrow streets. Or, take a cruise of the Grand Harbour to see the vast and complex stone bastions built by the Knights of St. John. Its sister island, Gozo, just 20 minutes away by ferry, boasts dramatic coastal scenery. Enjoy the walled town of Rabat and walk along the Citadella's high bastions with wonderful views of the surrounding country. This island is also famous for its many, enormous churches towering over tiny villages. 6
Italy Italy defines the essence of history and nowhere in Europe does a country take more pride in its past. From Rome's epic ruins of Roman Empire to the richness of the great sea-faring city of Venice, you are surrounded by vestiges of greatness. On a holiday combining Rome and Venice with the artistic glories of Florence, Italy will make a lasting impression. Whether travelling independently or on an escorted tour, Italy is the perfect host. Not only do its spectacular cities welcome you but you can also add such magical places as Sorrento on the Amalfi coast or travel farther south to Sicily. Here, experience its rugged island beauty as you tour Taormina, a scenic hilltop town overlooking the popular beaches on the Ionian coast. Then marvel at the ancient Phoenician city, Palermo, Sicily's capital and the cultural and gastronomic heart of the Sicilian people.
Greece Every journey through this historic land starts in the cradle of Western civilization, Athens, and in so many ways, this Greek capital lives up to its reputation as a city of many delights, epitomizing the heart and soul of the Greek people. After exploring the Acropolis that has towered over this city for thousands of years, it's time to see that other side of Greece much beloved by visitors; the Greek Islands. Cruises of varying length take you through the Aegean Sea to such memorable places as Mykonos and Santorini. Visit Heraklion in Crete to see the Minoan ruins at Knossos and then sail on to fabled Rhodes with its Crusader Forts. Several land/cruise itineraries combine Greece with some of the highlights of nearby Turkey. Turkish ports of call include the ever fascinating city of Istanbul, a treasure trove of mosques, bazaars and palaces, and stops at Izmir for excursions into the interior, at Canakkale to visit Troy and finally at Kusadasi to see the majestic ruins of Ephesus.
Turkey There really is no other country quite like Turkey when it comes to a combination of incredible and varied scenery and layer upon layer of history. But this shouldn’t come as a surprise given the geography of Turkey, straddling the divide between the Middle East and Europe. Start your journey of discovery with touring some of the finest Greek and Roman ruins that dot the landscape from the Aegean to the Mediterranean. Then walk in the footsteps of the Virgin Mary and St. Paul who are said to have made their way along the Turkish coast after the death of Christ. Following the great Byzantium period, Constantinople (today known as Istanbul) has become one of the world’s most exotic and treasure-filled cities. So much history! So much to see! After the excitement and hustle and bustle of Istanbul when one is ready for some relaxation, there are plenty of pretty resorts along the coast to choose from as well as wonderful sailing excursions. Turkey has more than something for everyone it is an Aladin’s cave of treasured moments and memories. 7

THE FRENCH RIvIERA In 19th-century Europe, people would often talk of a magical land where winter never arrived...a land of never-ending sunshine and deep blue water. A few miles in from the shore is a less publicized side of the Riviera --- a world of romantic hill towns and perched villages balanced on craggy peaks with cobblestone streets leading through modest hamlets surrounding ancient châteaux. NICE
Nice is a city of discovery and enjoyment. Located in the heart of one of the world’s most highly prized regions, it offers a rich history and a wonderfully mild sunny climate. Filled with outdoor markets, churches, narrow streets, red tile roofs, cafes, outdoor restaurants, parks and dozens of museums, the city is bordered by the Promenade des Anglais, which runs along the Mediterranean.
CANNES Cannes is the “star” of the French Riviera, famous for the annual International Film Festival and grand hotels, beautiful beaches and countless visitors. MONACO The Principality of Monaco is home to picturesque Monte Carlo. This bustling and cosmopolitan location, which hosts the world famous Grand Prix race every May, also boasts sophisticated restaurants, clubs, and the famous casino of Monte Carlo. Shopping in Nice

vALLETTA
Valletta, Malta’s capital and a World Heritage site, owes its existence to the Knights of St. John. The city is dotted with Baroque architecture, imposing bastions, dense clusters of worn limestone buildings, timber balconies, and imposing Churches. The city is today one of Malta’s main tourist attractions providing a stunning snapshot of Malta’s Grand Harbour, often described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
ST. JULIANS
From its early days as a small fishing port based on Spinola and Balluta Bays, St. Julians is now a main coastal resort and a major residential and tourist centre. It is home to some of Malta's newest hotels, clubs, casinos, restaurants, cafes and bars. The picturesque Spinola Bay still shelters numerous Maltese traditional coloured boats and a visit to the nearby Paceville will take you back in time to some of its old dwellings and boat houses.
SLIEMA
A shopping heartland and key commercial area, Sleima has experienced significant growth with modern villas, apartments and some of Malta’s best hotels. The Sliema promenade, on summer evenings, is the preferred meeting place for the locals. Enjoy fine dining and great shopping while you soak up the history and architecture surrounding you.
ST. PAUL’S BAY
St Paul's Bay is one of Malta's largest seaside resorts with wonderful open sea views and a variety of nightlife and leisure options.
