e mostly dwell on the area of relationships as we have come to understand that the relationships we have affect our relationships with God. God made man and made him relational, however there is a way he expects us to carry ourselves in those relationships that will not tear us apart from him and his grace. In this magazine we discuss that and equip the youth and single adults and even that in marriage on working relationships as God calls us to. We are aware that the world has many experts when it comes to love, relationships, dating, marriage and sex and they all have been generous to share their opinion with us, but this time we choose to look to the greatest of all experts, the all knowing God and his word on the matter.
O
ur relationship on earth is to be a reflection of our relationship with God, We are the bride of Christ and we must teach our generation that to keep them from falling from grace. To allow them to be ready and prepared for the bride groom when he comes, for he is coming, we just do not know when. We want our generation to stay focused and determined to wait on God and not miss him when he comes as illustrated in math 25:1-13. Shalom

Dear readers, It’s hard to believe that half the year has already gone by. It feels like only yesterday it was January and we were all making plans for the New Year. We often hear people say that time flies and in a way it feels that way. I am not sure if it is because as we go and grow we have more to do and less time to get it done or it is because time is actually flying! Either way I pray that God will help us to number or days. In this third day beloved, things are falling in place and things will happen suddenly because there is no time to waste, the bride must be ready and waiting. I am sure that many of us are glad to see the cold season leave and are ready and eagerly awaiting to welcome the sunny days ahead. I for one cannot wait to rock some summer dresses, and go out swimming and yes get that tan, I may be African but staying indoors and all that cold got me lighter than usual. For all those looking forward to getting out of the heavy gear, the coats, scarves, and into the latest summer fashions you will definitely enjoy this issue’s eye candy to satisfy your fashion passions in our Lifestyle section. With the summer sun comes more sweating and more need to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This time around we have something new for you as we look to Kilele, a company that deals with Cooperate health who have gladly chosen to come on board in this and every issue to focus on the health of our readers. It is indeed a new season, out with the old and cold in with the new. The 8th month of the year and Gods time for new beginnings, new ideas, new ventures, and new things under the sun for they that love and wait on him. To many the months passed may have worn you out, you may have felt as though everything you were hoping for this year was coming to an end but, in this season God is calling us to a new level of faith in him. It is not a time for depression because things are not looking or turning out as you thought but a time for expectation as you wait to see the way God is turning things around for you, yes he is doing a new thing! It is not over till He says it’s over and it is never over till God has the victory and the glory… beloved hold on to your seat this is going to be the ride of your life. Welcome to a new season, a new thing that God is doing just for you. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mouth has testified to the things he is about to do for you this season, Take note he is about to blow you away with miracles sings and wonders! Enjoy your read. Relationships It takes time and work Relationships are a wonderful thing, we were created in the image and likeness of God and He is relational. He created man to have a relationship with Him and He created woman to have a relationship with man as the Good Book says, it is not good for man to be alone. Most times though, we are alone. One would wonder though, if God Himself said it is not good for man to be alone, why were we born alone? Why didn’t He pair us up as kids? I believe that God wanted us to find our identity in him and live out or purpose in singlehood before we got hitched. I also believe that as much as He has created a mate suitable for each of us, He has no intention of forcing that on us and we have free will to choose.
will change, if you are not patient, if you are the kind who cannot commit, if you have baggage, if you have any issue all you are doing is carrying that in to the next relationship and when it does not work, you will find someone saying that they always find women or guys like this or that or that this or that always happens to them. In that case it is clear that it is not the other person but they that have the issue and they carry it into every new relationship.
One of the most unfortunate things in relationships today is that people seem to have no patience for them; one expects to find someone, give it six months to a year, get married and live happily ever after. I can assure you now that it does not work like that. Today people are too quick to give up when It is great to have the freedom of choice things and start again whenever things get especially in relationships. We are allowed hard only to have the to choose whom to be with and eventually same thing happen whom to marry. Sex- crazy, stupid, sex It is not secret that I stand for abstinence till marriage, it is my choice and it is not easy but I do it. It is through no special ability of my own but through Gods hand on me that I am able. Many may think that my relationship with God is what led me to this choice, but they would be wrong. My relationship with men is what led me to this choice, I made it before God and I started hanging out. After already having one child and an abortion with no husband I figured the best thing would be to close up show and wait till someone is willing to make the life time commitment to me before I give him my goodies.
the harsh consequences of a one night stand that left them single and with two children and yet as they said it, they were in the arms of yet a another man! Some of you may laugh, it is ridiculous but to me it was and remains sad. Even in their predicament they still saw me as foolish, crazy and perhaps stupid. What they did not see however is that I was free of troubles like the ones they were now in, I am free from ever having to panic when I am late, when I do not know who the father is, when I have to break the news and they deny and totally drop the responsibility of caring for their child. I am free form the morning after pill and better yet wondering if they will still be there in the morning.
It was crazy and stupid that in the situation, I was the one being seen as a joke, but isn’t that just the way of the world? We go crazy, stupid over a few moment of pleasure that is not even guaranteed and throw away a life time of joy and even greater pleasure. We look at the ones that have been waiting on God, the Sex is a onetime activity that can lead to a ones that have been standing in faith, trying life time of results. Talking spousesHow do we make a wrong thing right? recently heard a case where a young couple came together in marriage after they found out they were pregnant. In the past and still in some situations it is required, that if you get a girl pregnant you are to marry her. It was for her own good so that the man could and would take responsibility, and the woman would not be dishonored and abandoned. The only issue with that is, two wrongs do not make a right. Yes they are pregnant; however, if they do not love and want to be with each other, the worst thing to do is to force them into a lifelong covenant. In this case the couple’s family chose not to air their dirty laundry and thus covered it with marriage. Do couples out there even parents still feel that this is the best way to cover the shame of an unwanted pregnancy? The girl in this situation was advised by many of her peers that he man she was about to marry was a player who had many other girls out there. After confronting him man about the matter he admitted to having a few women but said that it was long over. The woman loved and wanted the man and he loved and wanted her and decided to go along and marry. The 10

Talking Spouces believed she was covering the sins of the man she loved and in doing so expected things to change, the man saw it as a means to show himself no longer as a player and had every intention to stay faithful. Is marriage the solution to such an issue does it make the man or the situation right or does it just slap a bandage over a gaping rotting wound? At this moment in time the young couples now have a child and are in a marriage that they were not ready for. They now have more to deal with than they had bargained for and as a result things have escalated. The young lady is unable to cope with the demands of parenting and marriage and has let herself and the home go. The young man no longer feels attracted or in love with what he has wound up with which is an unkempt home and wife and has taken to finding fulfillment in other women. The young lady often leaves her husband for days or weeks at a time and blames his cheating ways for that, while the husband cheats on his wife and blames her neglect for her roles as a wife. Do either of the actions that they chose to take make any of it right? The world we live in is filled with opinions, ideas and advise on how to right a wrong, but time has shown that none of it works, in the end it all crumbles. God’s intention for us is not a temporary fix; God not only forgives you but mends you. God takes your situation, takes your wrongs and makes them right once and for all. He does not require you to do anything but to trust Him. The only thing that can make a wrong thing right is God and in him there is restoration and vindication. He is a God of justice and in his time he makes all things beautiful if you will get out of the way and let him.

Water for health
Water is the most foundational aspect of health for the human body. It is the single most important nutrient and is involved in every single function of our bodies. Healthy Summer Brunch Tips Summer is the time to spend quality time with friends and family. You will have great quality time with a brunch, whether at a restaurant or if you prepare one yourself. There are several tips that will help you ensure you have a healthy yet enjoyable brunch. Do not over take too much breakfast if you want to enjoy your brunch. This is also important because it means you will not accumulate too many calories. Set the time for the brunch carefully. It should be well after breakfast and well before lunch. If possible, have all attendees take early breakfast and take late lunch. The best time for brunch is around 11 O’clock in the morning. You could have a complete dining experience during the brunch, complete with white wine and multiple courses. You should, however, not over-indulge in wine since it will be too early to be drunk. Try brunch recipes that have been tried and tested over the years. You could go for pineapple coffee cake, with sour cream adding tenderness and moisture. The team takes only 15 minutes to prepare. Try the real-man quiche. This is a meaty pie made of turkey sausage and a flaky phyllo crust. Try ham & cheese breakfast casserole. This is a traditional, protein-rich option that is very flavorful. Other highly-rated healthy summer brunch ideas are baked applecinnamon French toast, spinach quiche a la goldmoor, fruit-and-herb crepes, custard parfaits with granola, quick mixed berry topping, and cheesy polenta and egg casserole. Ensure you have the nutritional information (such as cholesterol content, fat content, and number of calories). Ask your guests about any special requests to ensure everybody enjoys the brunch. Alternatively, observe what they are eating at a dinner or ask their loved ones. If the meal has grains, ensure they are whole grains. Avoid processed foods as much as possible.

Home
Keeping the house clean during summer months is never easy because the kids are home. There are several tips that will help you keep the home spotless. Organize as many outdoor events as you can. This will keep the children out most of the day. Consider barbeques, especially if you have many guests. If you have many guests coming in, ensure that all that they would require indoors is available outdoors. You could establish an outdoor kitchen and you could even bring in a mobile toilet. Nobody will think ill of you because barbeques are synonymous with summertime. Have entrance floor mats at every entrance in the house. Make it clear to your kids that they have to wipe their feet before coming in. If possible, try to establish a no-shoesindoors policy. You should, however, not force this because it is not practical in some circumstances and you will just get stresses when nobody obeys you. Keep all your winter clothes away. This ensures that family members can easily find the clothes they are looking for and it means a neater room. Use storage bins for the winter clothes. To avoid wrinkles, roll them instead of folding them. Have breach towels by the door. These will encourage everybody to dry off before coming indoors. Assign cleaning duties to the different family members and be very strict. There should be someone to clean after the pet, to vacuum the house, and so on. If there is heavy traffic in the living room, consider removing the carpet.
If you are into gardening, leave the clothes outdoors. If you are overwhelmed by the cleaning, consider enlisting the services of a professional cleaning company. The company can come in for some of the major tasks such as cleaning the bath, vacuuming, and organizing things. Another option is keeping some of the rooms out of bounds during certain times of the day.

Summer Gardening: Water-Saving Tips
Even as you take care of your bath, you kitchen, and the rest of your house this summer, do not forget your garden. Whether you want to save water to save on cost or to do your part in saving the environment, you will have a harder time doing this in your gardening during summer months. These are the hottest months of the year, meaning there is high evaporation. There are several water-saving tips that you should try this summer in your garden. Use the right equipment while gardening. This is because most of the water is lost as mist, evaporation, and runoff. In the place of a hose and nozzle, use a sprinkler wand or a soaker hose for watering. Do not overwater the plants. Plants actually need less water than most people think. The rule of thumb when gardening is that lawns only need one inch of water weekly while shrubs and perennial plants need between 1 and 2 inches of water weekly. Vegetable and annual plants require a bit more. Use water creatively. Ensure that you are not watering the driveway and other areas that do not need water. 22
Harusi Magazine

Use mulch to prevent evaporation. You should, however, break the mulch up regularly since when it crusts over, water does not get space to reach the plant. Test the moisture in the soil regularly. There are several tools available in the market for this. Testing will help you determine just how much water you need in the gardening. The plants should be watered in the morning when temperate are low. This prevents evaporation and ensures most of the water soaks in. Avoid watering in the evening because, even if the temperatures are low, darkness and dump condition are the perfect conditions for fungus formation. Store the water hose in the shade or in the house because if left in the sun, the water will heat up. Hot water stresses plants. Space out the watering because shallow watering will encourage shallow rooting. Spacing out watering means large quantities of water after long intervals as opposed to frequent watering of small amounts of water.

Great August and September Getaways in Kenya
If you are planning a romantic trip to Kenya, why don’t you consider a place where you can have a picninc? Kenya is known for its wild animals and the picnic, therefore, has to be in a place where there are no predators. Consider Lake Nakuru National Park. Although the National Park has lions and other predators, there are areas that are designated as picnic spots. Lake Nakuru National Park is located around Lake Nakuru just off Nakuru Town, one of the biggest towns in the country. The National Park is known for the thousands and sometimes millions of flamingos that nest here. Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to white rhinos, black rhinos, waterbucks, lions, leopards, cheetahs, pythons, and Rothschild giraffes.
While at the Hell’s Gate National Park, you will have access to the scenic hell’s gate gorge. Some of the activities that you can participate in inside the National Park include game drives, rock climbing, and cycling. Hell’s Gate National Park hosts an annual Wheelbarrow race that raises money for charity and that makes for great family time.
Yet another option for a great picninc is Paradise Lost. Paradise lost is located outside Nairobi on your way to Kiambu. As the name suggests, Paradise Lost is a real paradise that makes for a great getaway. There are many picnic spots and you can even do your own grilling. There are several activities for visitors, among them visits to the old Mau Mau caves, ostrich feeding, camel, horse, and pony rides, bird viewing, walks, canoeing, and fishing. The proximity to Nairobi makes this the perfect getaway. Another good option for your picnic is Hell’s This is also a cheaper option than the Gate National Park. Why did you choose this line of work? When I was younger, I wanted to be a nun. I used to admire them so much, I still do. However, after years of being exposed to different careers, I started admiring journalists in general for their work in highlighting issues especially social. I also just loved the fact that they get access to anywhere they want. Also I can’t say that I always saw myself as an anchor but everyone around me thought I would do great.
finished, I was taken in as a trainee reporter. This meant always looking for ways to be noticed in a newsroom full of big names. I tried and succeeded especially by doing human interest stories. I also looked for opportunities for screen tests and that’s how I was considered for the anchoring position. I watched you once on the Patricia show and I was amazed to find out your story and how you were in an accident, could you share your story, the effects of the accident and how you bounced back?
I can describe that accident as a game Honestly, the greatest challenge that I have changer for me. I was in form three at the time and simply what happened is I was hit faced is meeting people who are in great need and not being able to help in the way by a public service vehicle in the CBD. It left me with serious injuries like a scarred face, 4 they would want you to. It kills me; people broken ribs, fractured collar bone, and back who cannot do much for themselves injury. You were in Daystar not too long ago right? How did you come to climb to the position you are in now in such a short time you clearly are blessed. powerful and moneyed people to help kids in the country especially with education. We have witnessed girls getting into relationships that cost them their careers, how do you handle work and relationships?
The good thing is I have a stable relationship and that keeps away the trouble. Also as a woman in this career you get many proposals from the “who is who” but it all comes down to you as a person. The spotlight can build you or destroy you if you just trip! What of marriage, would you give this up if he asked you to? I think that if he is committed enough, he will respect me, which means respecting my career and what I love. Love is not selfish.

Enter my rest Dearly beloved, Indeed it is a new season for his beloved. God is calling us to enter his rest. The children if Israel did not enter his rest, they did not step foot in the land of promise because they disobeyed God, a time is come when God has created another opportunity to enter his rest and the key to all this is obedience. Rest- seize from labor/works as God rested on the 7thday after he labored to create the world. Rest-settle, as God did upon the tabernacle of meeting when the cloud of his glory settled on Moses’ tent. As he settled in the garden, making his glory manifest as he walked and talked with Adam Beloved God is calling you to enter his rest, cease from your works, leaning on your own understanding, your natural way of doing things and lean totally on Him and His way, when you do you will enter into his rest, into His presence where He will make his glory manifest and you too will be glorified as Christ is and be able to do on earth as it is in heaven supernaturally. A good example of this is found in the story where Jesus came walking on water to the boat. Peter upon seeing him asked that if it be Him, He bid him come. Jesus said to Peter “Come.” Peter rested, put aside or lay down his natural way of thinking that dictates that man without boat cannot move on water that says man cannot walk on water. Peter understood that there was nothing he could do as a human being to fulfill what Jesus said which was to come and that he had to fully rely and depend on God by faith. By faith in the word Peter walked not on water but on the word that proceeded from Jesus’ mouth. Peter entered rest from his own works and in doing so entered the rest of God which was glory. Peter, Adam, Eve, and the children of Israel, all fell short of the Glory (rest) of God because they disobeyed. Peter began to listen to the wind, Adam and even listened to the serpent, the children of Israel listened to the thundering mountain and chose to believe in that voice instead of the voice of God that called them to Come and enter rest. Beloved there is only one thing that stands between you and the rest of God, the Glory of God upon your life that will cause you to do even greater things that Jesus did in your area of calling, that you may fulfill the word that is still pending…subdue and have dominion on earth. Do not harden your heart, have faith, the opposite of faith is not doubt but disobedience believing and listening to any other voice than that of God that bids you now….Come, enter My rest. Shalom
