“Growing the Community of the Jewellery Quarter” The 24 Carrotsʼ Food Market was set up and organised by residents from the Jewellery Quarter in July 2009. We became a Co-Operative in November 2010. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for people to buy great quality food in a friendly community setting. We aim to help improve the economic development and social cohesion within the wider Ladywood community. All stallholders must meet certain criteria and complete an application form for approval by the 24 Carrots committee. 24 Carrots reserves the right to refuse any application. Thank you.


24 CARROTS TERMS & CONDITIONS Each stall holder must meet the following criteria:

a) Fruit, vegetables and meat: Produce should have been grown, reared, or caught entirely within the UK.

Payment must be made by BACS transfer two months in advance of each market.

b) Cooked and baked goods: These items, including cakes, preserves, meals (hot or cold) should be ʻhomemadeʼ and not mass produced, commercially available branded goods. c) Stall holders must sell their own produce at a stall. Produce sold must have been detailed on the application form submitted before the market and agreed by the 24 Carrots committee. Changes of trade will require a stallholder to reapply. 2. Attendance: No stall should be left unattended and stalls must be staffed by the producer or employee. The stallholder must agree and abide by the times of the markets. 3. Health & safety: a) All stalls must comply with current Trading Standards and Environmental Health requirements - stall holders selling food must provide a valid Food Hygiene Certificate with their application. b) Producers must maintain Public, Employee and Products Liability Insurance, proof of which must be

Pricing for stalls for each market is as follows: • Standard £25 - a standard stall is 8ft x 3ft • Customised £30 - erection of own stall or in addition to stall provided • One-off stalls £40 - with permission from 24 Carrots only • There is a £5 supplement for stalls requiring electricity. Stallholders must notify the 24 Carrots committee of electrical requirements and any subsequent changes to those requirements.

7. Cancellations: a) Stall holders providing less than 2 months notice of a cancellation will not be refunded. b) 24 Carrots reserves the right to cancel any market without consultation. c) Refunds are not available if cancellations are due to circumstances beyond our control, e.g. adverse weather, failure to supply from a third party or closure imposed on us by a third party. 8. Miscellaneous: 24 Carrots reserve the right to revise and issue new terms and conditions without consultation. 24 Carrots reserve the right to refuse any application that does not meet the spirit of 24 Carrotsʼ Farmers Market.

5. Environment: All stall holders must ensure their stall and surrounding area is cleared at the end of the market day and any rubbish placed in designated areas.

Any decision made by 24 Carrots shall be final.

Stall holders are not permitted to play music. 6. Fairness: In order to maintain a successful market for all, 24 Carrots will allow a maximum of two stall holders selling similar produce at any one market.
