No sign of the signs!

That what local businesses and residents said when

the Ladywood History Group came to the rescue of hundreds of W. Reeves medals that were under threat of disappearing from Ladywood when the Albion St. business closed. Ladywood Ward Councillors wasted no time in agreeing Community Chest funding to secure the medajs^ "The LHG will be custodians of the huge collection," says Cllr. Kath Hartley, who has arranged for the medals to go on show at the Pen Museum in Newhall Hill and the JQ Museum in Vyse St. "You should go and have a look," says Kath. "You're bound to find a badge for the football team you supportl"

It's 18 months ago that we asked JR residents to nominate lamp posts for our "Quletl" signs. Since then, Amey have taken over the highways work from the council and haven't given us a sensible quote for putting them up. There are signs of success now. You'll see the extra signs soon!" says Kath who has met with Amey.
