My name is Alex and I am 5 years old. I have an active imagination, as I am told. I like to pretend I go to many places. I get to have fun and meet many new faces.
Today my imagination will really run wild. But first I’ll tell Mommy I’ll be home in a while. “Mom, today my imagination will take me really far. I am going to fly high and touch a star.” “Good”, said mommy. “Go have an adventure, and if you can, bring home something nice and fancy like treasure.”
I need to find treasure, up in outer space. I need to find a gift shop. I wonder if there is such a place.
Here I go! In my rocket I fly. To house, street, Orlando, Florida and now Earth, I say goodbye.
Here I am in space, as beautiful as can be. All the stars are smiling and twinkling at me. If I was a treasure, where would I hide? Oh, I know, the moon’s dark side.
Now I’m on the moon, but it is completely bare. But wait there is a creature looking at me! He is completely covered in hair. “Hello I’m Alex and I am 5 years old. I am looking for a treasure for my mommy, like gold.” “Hello Alex”, said the hairy creature, “ I am Bob and I am 1,000 years old.“ “I know where you can find gold rings that you can give your mom. It is on planet Saturn. Just ask for the Saturnian named Tom.”
On to Saturn I zoom, on my fast rocket away from the moon. Now I’m on Saturn , so lovely to me, all the patterns and colors I see.
Now I meet with Saturnian Tom. Hope he helps me find a ring for my mom. “I’m sorry, Alex, but there is no ring here for your mom to wear, but I know a gal that has information to share. Her name is Abby and she likes to race. You’ll find her on the rings of Saturn getting ready for the number one race in space.”
“Hello Abby, I’m Alex, and I need help in finding treasure.” “Oh, I will help you. It would be my pleasure. But not until after the race, so get in your rocket and get in place.”
I can’t believe I am going to race in the number one race in space! I hope my rocket is fast enough to come in first place.
On your Mark! Get Set! Go! Around the rings of Saturn we zoom one by one. I can’t believe it, I just won!

“Congratulations Alex, you are the winner! You did pretty well for a racing beginner.�
“And now, the treasure for your mom to keep. It needs to be beautiful and bright and definitely not cheap.” “Ride to the center of outer space, and you will meet the Sun face to face. It is too hot, so you must stay in your rocket, but ask for a piece of the sun to put in your pocket.”
I did what I was told, but it was too late. The Sun was asleep and the Moon was awake.
Then I hear my mom shout, “Alex, time for dinner and then a shower!”
With no gift in hand, maybe I’ll give her a flower.
Down to Earth I descend. Time to see my mom, with no more pretend. “Hey mom, here is your present, I think you’ll like it, for its sweet scent.”
“I love it, Alex! I really do, especially since it came from you.
