Business Standard Kremlin asks Russian IT to develop Zoom's domestic alternatives: Know more
Zoom's decision to stop access to its service for Russian state agencies should lead to the development of domestic alternatives to this popular video communication app, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said. "We need to switch to alternatives, they do exist," Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, according to a report by TASS news agency. His comments came after Zoom reportedly decided to restrict access by the Russian stateowned companies to its software.
