800-665-5116 * www.mymindseye.com * www.mymindseye.typepad.com Do you remember the first time you saw Lush? I do. I can remember touching and feeling each flocked piece. I even made my husband feel it. He didn’t have the same experience I had (wink). If you are a paper connoisseur like me, you know what I am talking about. And... I loved creating with Lush!

Imagine how thrilled I was when I learned we were releasing Lush2 - in FOUR beautiful new colors! Deep/rich Navy, oh, so popular Fuchsia, vibrant Turquoise and sunny orange are perfect for your spring and summer projects. Each color scheme has flocked and printed papers, decorative brads, rhinestones, rhinestone brads, buttons, trims and FLOCKED journaling pads. The flocked journaling pads are a favorite of mine. As you can see from the featured layout - they are the perfect addition to any project.

Supplies: Stella & Rose: Gertie “Little One” Transparent Frame Stella & Rose: Gertie “Little One” Cardstock Stickers Stella & Rose: Gertie “Happy” Cardstock Stickers Stella & Rose: Hazel “Special” Die Cut Frame Stella & Rose: Hazel “Special” Title Die Cut Stella & Rose: Hazel “Memories” Ribbon Stella & Rose: Mabel “Little Lady” Ribbons Stella & Rose: Mabel “Play” Adhesive Chipboard Lush Chipboard Alpha – Blue, Green, Pink. (inked the blue to make the brown for the title –so it would be tinted with blue to match the elements) Also used: White Cardstock, Glue Dots, Foam Adhesive.
Instructions: I am Irish, ‘born and bred’ as they say, for 24 years in Dublin so Gaeilge is supposed to be my native language. It is a beautiful and ancient language that very few people use on a daily basis. I have some words but not many despite having it literally beaten into me as a child. It is one of the few culturally things that I love about my native land especially as I don’t often bring my Irish to the forefront of my everyday life. I will often say I’m Gaeilge as that covers a lot and explains my name, which is in the prayers people say every day, as it means “spirit”. I get a lot of flack over the fact I don’t have a brogue (the expected Irish accent) nor am I into for St Patrick’s Day or drink Guinness or wear green. While I am Irish, I am my own Irish, more Gaeilge than Irish, more British than Irish, just more me than anything else. But for all the Irish in me, I love the Art and the Culture of the Ancient Celts, the original Gaeilge people, especially the language and wish I could speak it properly. Céad míle beannachta. (a hundred thousand blessings) 1. 2. 3. 4.
Create background using a mixture of Lush alphabets. Creat flowers from crochet trim. Tie knots from blue grosgrain ribbon as shown. Add photo, transparency, “special” title, frame (white back for journaling) flowers, chipboard and ribbon. 5. Have a fun time!

Cheers Card by
Anam Stubbington
Sláinte is Gaeilge for “Cheers” (pronounced slaawn-cha) and a cuppa tea (cup of tea) is such an Irish tradition so the teapot was perfect. I used the Doily Stamps and various green inks to great the background and elements.
Supplies: Stella & Rose: Gertie “Girlie” Doily Stamps Stella & Rose: Hattie “Remember” Label Stamp (stamps 2, cut 1 in half and used it to extend the label to find the word – alpha stickers hid the overlap) Stella & Rose: Mabel “So Sweet” teapot Stamp Lush Green Flock Alpha
Also used: Stazon Lime Green Inks, White Cardstock (I distressed the edges to give it little texture), Circle Punches, Butterfly Punch, Foam Adhesive.
Supplies: Stella & Rose: Mabel “Little Lady” Die Cut Frame Stella & Rose: Mabel “Little Lady” Ribbons (I made the ribbon from Stella Rose into a flower) Stella & Rose: Hattie “Happy” cardstock stickers (trimmed down to just the words I wanted) Lush Orange Brads (layered two lush brads by cutting off their pins and using glue dots)
Blessing Card by

Also used: thread/Needle, Glue Dots This is a really simple card – print your saying out onto cardstock and cover with the frame. Tradition Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind always be at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
