Mena's Strother, Lua named to All-Star game

The Mena Bearcats will have two participants in the East-West High School All-Star Football Game this year. The Arkansas Activities Association announced Wednesday that 6’4” 245 pound Brock Strother and 5’10” 155 pound Christian Lua will play for the West squad in the upcoming contest.
Strother played both ways for the 8-4 Bearcats squad. On offense, Strother had 17 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Strother was credited with 36 tackles and one quarterback sack.
Lua was a kicking specialist for the Bearcats. He connected on 23 out of 24 extra point attempts, and drilled his only field goal attempt from 35 yards out, accounting for 26 points for Mena during the 2018 season. Lua also punted three times with a 37.7 yard average.
The 2019 Arkansas High School Football All-Star Game will be played on the University of Central Arkansas campus in
Conway in June.
