It was brilliant to be able to donate some resources to Aboyne Aft er School Club for their holiday club, which was very quickly put to good use.

If anyone has surplus craft materials or sports equipment, they would be gratefully received by the children and staff at the project, which runs breakfast and aft erschool clubs upstairs in the Community Centre, Monday to Thursday term-ti me, and Holiday Clubs during selected weeks of the school holidays.

Boulers o’ Birse: Regular twice

weekly play resumed after our fun, French themed but chilly day out in Monymusk back in May. We have been enjoying the recent sunshine in our scenic Finzean location, outside Birse and Feughside Church, where we play around three games of 30 minutes each on Tuesdays from 4.30pm and Saturdays from 10am. As you read this, our next special event will have taken place: a morning’s play with some French visitors from Martignas sur Jalle (yes, Aboyne’s twinned village). Meanwhile, local visitors (and any far-flung) are always welcome. info. boulersobirse@gmail.com
