• Start with picking up 1 8mm pearl and 10A, then string through the pearl again. [fig. 1] • Pick up 10A and string through the pearl again and through the first A added. Now there’s a circle of A’s around the pearl. [fig. 2]
• In ladder stitch another row of A’s will be added around the pearl. Pick up 2A and string through the second A counting back from where the thread exits. Then string through the second A just added again. [fig. 3
• Pick up 1A and string through the A of the first row opposite this A. Then string through the A just added again. Repeat this all around the pearl until there are two rows of A’s sitting next to each other [fig. 4] 4
• Now repaet steps 3 and 4 adding B’s next to the second row of A’s. This will close the ring around the pearl. String through the B’s again and pull the thread tight to secure the ring. Do the same on the other side of the first row of A’s. [fig. 5] 5
• Exiting from an A, pick up 3A, skip one A and string through the next one. Do this ten times. Then string through the first and third A of the first set of three just added (blue line). [fig. 6]
