ENJOY THE AREA'S BEST SPIRITS

When it comes to brewing, The Beach is booming … and that’s a good thing for groups visiting our area.

The Grand Strand now offers many options to raise your spirits after your meeting, conference or sporting event. From downtown brew houses and laid-back brewpubs with lots of room for outdoor fun to craft distilleries and wineries dealing in sweet Muscadine vintages, we have a variety of ways to kick back and enjoy a few drinks with friends, family or colleagues.

LOCAL’S TIP The Beach’s Best Brews

From Wheat Ales and Beach-Themed Lagers to Pilsners, Porters and even Double IPAs, The Grand Strand has a ton of great craft brews to try. Check out our reccommendations for the best brews in town by scanning the code below:

Our beer scene is led by New South Brewing, which has been in operation since 1998, distributing drinks like it’s popular White Ale, Nut Brown and IPAs from its warehouse location just a few blocks from The Beach.

Joining this long-running establishment are a number of other craft breweries which have opened since 2020, including Tidal Creek Brewhouse at The Market Common, Crooked Hammock Brewery at Barefoot Landing, Grand Strand Brewing Company in downtown Myrtle Beach and Southern Hops Brewing Co. in Murrells Inlet.

Many of these, like Crooked Hammock Brewery, offer brewery tours and tastings for groups like yours.

If wines are more your style, your group may want to explore a tour of La Belle Amie Vineyards in Little River. The Grand

Strand’s only operating vineyard and home to a variety of vintages, many made from sweet Muscadine grapes native to the region. You can also sample a variety of North and South Carolina wines with a tour of Duplin Winery’s bottling and tasting facility at Barefoot Landing.

There’s also Twelve 33 Distillery in Little River, which is the area’s only craft distillery and also offers group tours. Here, you’ll find premium handcrafted spirits in small batches using fresh, local ingredients to create uniquely Southern takes on house-made gin, vodka, rum and whiskey.

In all, there’s plenty of ways to unwind here, and we haven’t even touched the surface of our lively scene full of great nightlife, live music, wine bars and restaurants where you can sample topnotch spirits to your heart’s delight.
