The morning and early afternoon were filled with veterans dropping by and becoming reacquainted with local vets. CELEBRATION OF THE SEASON—A PERFECT BLOODY MARY COURTESY OF MARIA: The delicious libation filled with celery, cheese, sausage, olives, asparagus, pickle, tomato juice and flavoring was a treat to behold at the VFW, 664 Hirsch in Calumet City. Post 8141 hosted a spaghetti dinner Wednesday May 31st for veterans, family and friends. Happy Summering! ***

VFW POST 8141 HOSTS SPAGHETTI
DINNER WEDNESDAY MAY 31ST, 2023:
Pictured here at the sweet table, charmingly assembled by Ladies Auxiliary representative is Marilyn Schultz in background. At right are Judy and Rich Dominiak, and Fran Toczydlowski. Fran’s hubby Clyde is partially obscured behind Judy. On the other side of the table are Ginger, Janet and Marilyn. The homemade spaghetti sauce was fantastic and the salad, bread and dessert capped off a lovely meal shared with friends from Calumet City. The students from TF North were wonderful servers who got our food out of the kitchen in a hurry and were totally efficient! N 2 N loves these dinners from the local veteran’s organizations! ***

GRADUATION ARCHES RULE THE SCHOOL 2023 THIS YEAR: Pictured in the center of her high school graduation arch of blue, black and white balloons, her school colors, Karmin Garcia( Karmin’s Grandpa is Jesse Gomez of Lansing) is joined by friends Rafael Delapaz and Bailee Carroll along with veterans Ron line and Ralph Layba at Karmin’s high school graduating party Saturday June 3, 2023 at the American Legion Post 180 in Highland, In. The delicious buffet was catered by JJ Kelleys in Lansing, and, needless to say, everyone there had a great time! ***
