Annual Pilgrimage to the Carmelite Shrine

Munster— July 26 — On August 12, Pilgrims from Chicago will be walking to the Carmelite Shrine Ridge Road Munster, Indiana. This event has grown substantially in the 35 years of its existence. Thousands are expected to walk in this two-day pilgrimage.

The participants will spend the night in tents on the grounds of the Shrine and inside the Shrine.

Father Andrew, Prior, would like to thank the neighbors of the Shrine for their continued willingness to tolerate the 20 hours of chaos. “Over the years, we have relied on the benevolence of the neighborhood and the Village of Munster to make this a most enjoyable experience for the Pilgrims,” said Father Andrew.
