“Our own beauty range seemed like the perfect joint venture,” explains Kim Jacob, co-founder, with her friend Louise Redknapp. Kim, a makeup artist for some 25 years, and Louise first met on a shoot almost a decade ago. Louise picked up on Kim’s habit of mixing cosmetics to tailor colours for individual faces and asked why she hadn’t created her own makeup. “My interest in beauty began aged 8 when I walked past The Body Shop in Bournemouth – Anita Roddick is my absolute idol,” reveals Scott Duncan, the UK distributor for T. heat her marten Foun der English Graphics is the essence of contemporary design, print and publishing. “It’s more than just a card folded with a picture on it,” explains designer Heather, who designs wedding and event stationery and founded the company with her husband Peter England (hence ‘English’ Graphics) because it seemed a natural way to combine their talents. “The seed of the idea came from a passion for photography and design. We get a lot of inspiration while out walking our dog along the coast. My husband takes the images for the land and seascape cards – he has a great eye for photography – and I work up the designs. I like to add crystals to my cards to make them shimmer – you’ll see a liberal scattering on the special beauty series I’ve created for MyShowcase!”
