How to turn your life around in 10 days By Felesha Love Along with a morning cup of Joe in hand, I discovered a rejection letter in the mail, but that’s ok. The object of the game is to power through ten days of relentless concentration toward turning my life around! On day one, I successfully identified goals, tasks and stages of action necessary to achieve my

desired outcomes. Thanks to social media, I laid the foundation using the outer ring of my social network to watch and direct me toward valuable leads. There

is nothing like a boat load of challenges in life school to force you to think outside of the

box, which is one reason I decided to write this blog. Please feel free to jump in with any suggestions that have worked for you. As you know, using a newspaper, employment websites and visiting the human resource department of a potential employer are both old school and counterproductive. Gone are the days of personal contact, though I miss it dearly.

Present are the days to effectively sell yourself in writing! My ambition is to find the right job for my skillsets that will bring me optimal joy. First, I needed to reflect and address the first line of huddles standing between me and my dreams. What is it that I

really want? My ambition is not to hold yet another dead end job. Been there, done that, more than I’m willing to admit. I want substance in creating opportunities to motivate,

educate and inspire people while creating financial stability for my family. I have to get this right! I have two generation Y’s living with me, watching my every challenge and triumph. Thanks to the media’s glorification of clubs and poles, I don’t want them to end up on one because I didn’t get it right.

Ten days is the time frame I’ve chosen to maximize every effort into using every skill and morsel of knowledge that I’ve gained as a broadcaster, project manager, college

wellness educator, mother, wife, student and new author. You would think this next level of life would be easy with all of the experience I have to throw at this moving

target, but it has to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. One achievement through all of my past accomplishments is to understand the value of self-management.

Today, I am completing the foundational work that I started yesterday to ask for leads from personal acquaintances, friends and family members. In addition, I have identified twenty-five organizations and businesses that have paid for motivational speakers and wellness facilitators in the past. Tonight, I will complete the layout of the presentation kit. Part of my frustration is my appreciation for the art of PR/marketing and working with limited funds but it has to get done. As a yogi, I also know that part of my

obligation here on earth is in action and the other part is in allowing. My humanness

reminds me that allowing involves precious time that cannot be recycled. The key is to find the right balance of action and allowing the universe to respond. Universe, please forgive the nudge, but it is-my time.
