MYSTIC NEXT To be able to do what we love we need gear. At Mystic we are well aware of the fact that producing gear impacts our planet. The Mystic Next project focuses on using eco-friendly shipping materials, reducing plastic outputs in packaging, biodegradable wetsuit bags and incorporating organic cotton into our production line. We strive towards a more sustainable world in which we can live in harmony with the environment, while still being able to do what we love. It’s a small step, but definitely directed towards a future that’s more sustainable.

R E C Y C L A B L E PA C K A G I N G By creating a more generic packaging we reduce the amount of waste of leftover packaging. Another way of reducing packaging is by minimizing the number of hangtags on our products. We strive to use paper and cardboard in our packaging as much as possible, but sometimes we still have to use plastics. We’ve made sure most of these are recycled.
SUSTA INA BLE M ATER I A L S We improve our products sustainably by replacing materials with recycled goods, or by incorporating new materials with a lower impact on the environment. We’re already using organic cotton in our apparel line and switched to recycled polyester for our boardshorts. Each year we expand the number of products with more sustainable materials.
YA M A MOTO 39 LIMESTON E We’ve added Yamamote neoprene to our High Range wetsuits. Yamamoto neoprene is a limestone rubber with amazing flexibility and great thermal properties, but without all of the impactful stuff that you get with conventional wetsuits.
U P C YC L E D O C E A N PL A S T IC The Mystic Next wetsuit and accessories hangers are contributing to cleaner oceans. They are made from plastic soup; a mixture of 100% upcycled ocean bound plastic and recycled post- consumer plastic, harvested predominantly from the four most polluting rivers in the world, that would otherwise end up in the ocean. Mystic teamed up with Arch & Hook BLUE® to create these new hangers.
G OODSHIPPING We love working together with the GoodShipping Program. The GoodShipping Program is the first sustainable shipping initiative in the world. It helps making container shipments less polluting.
