To disable the push notification move to Settings > Notifications and set Notifications to Off.
Auto-check fewer email accounts: You can save the power by checking fewer email accounts. It can be done by
turning off the email account or by deleting it. To disable the account move to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select the email account and set the Account to Off.
