EN An Italian freediver who established world records in all freediving disciplines. Umberto was the first man to break the 80 m limit in constant weight, 130 m in Variable Weight and 150 m in No Limits. Research is a component of his success since the very beginning of his career. He created Apnea Academy school for freediving spreading, teaching and researching to world-wide level. The Ministry of the Interior nominated him as a component of teaching group for courses of National Fire department scuba divers. Cooperated with the legendary G.I.S. (Special Intervention Group) of the Carabinieri. In 2001, with 131 m in Variable Weight, establishes his last record, ending his career as a holder of three records in three specialties. E' stato il primo uomo a superare il muro degli 80 m nella specialità dell'assetto costante, 130 m nel variabile e 150 m in assetto variabile no limits. La ricerca è una componente del suo successo sin dagli inizi della sua carriera. è fondatore di Apnea Academy, la più grande scuola di apnea al mondo. è stato inoltre nominato dal Ministero degli Interni come membro staff docenti nei corsi per sommozzatori dei Vigili del Fuoco. Collabora con il leggendario reparto del G.I.S. (Gruppo di Intervento Speciale). Nel 2001, con 131 m nella specialità dell'assetto variabile, stabilisce il suo ultimo record, chiudendo la carriera come detentore dei tre record nelle tre specialità. Il est fondateur de l'école Apnea Academy, la plus grande école d'apnée au monde, et il a en outre été nommé par le Ministère de l'Intérieur comme membre du staff enseignant dans les cours des Pompiers plongeurs. Il collabore également avec le légendaire département G.I.S. (Groupe d'Intervention Spéciale) et les Carabiniers. En 2001 avec -131 m dans la spécialité poids variable il établie son dernier record, et termine ainsi sa carrière comme détenteur de trois records dans les trois spécialités. Il mio carattere determinato, pignolo e razionale mi ha sempre spinto alla ricerca di nuove soluzioni che migliorassero il piacere di una battuta di pesca in apnea.
