Features 

Pathiramanal 
Pathiramanal is a striking small island on the Vembanad Lake only reachable by means of a boat. It is set to be developed as a major tourist spot in Alleppey.
Karumadi 
Close to Alleppey, the village of Karumadi is wellknown for its Karumadi Kuttan, a black granite figure of Buddhan that is believed to have been created in the 9th or 10th Century. During his visit to the state in 1965, the Dalai Lama worshipped at this holy place. There are various other places to explore as well in and around here.

Krishnapuram Palace 
Krishnapuram Palace is one of the most captivating attractions of the region. It was built by the Travancore king, Marthanda Varma, in the 18th century. It is a twostoried building crafted in the traditional Kerala architectural style. The gabled roofs, dormer windows and narrow corridors give it an amazing facade. The palace is mainly known for its wall paintings as well as its beautiful architecture. One of the biggest wall paintings in all of Kerala is placed in Alleppey. It is known as the Gajendra Moksham, which literally means "The redemption of the elephant".
